<p>The Ultimate Challenge was held Saturday December 7, at the new home gymnasium of San Leandro High School. There were 7 games with good NorCal prospects in the gym that can play college ball at the different levels. Here are some of the players who stood out.</p>

He scored 18 points, he got off to a fast start with 9pts in the first quarter. He hit a 3 pointer early, then used his dribble regularly to get into the paint for jumpers, and passes. He sees the court in transition making long passes up, or he'll pull up for a transition 3.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1572948' first='Soren' last='Roberts'] 6'8 2025 PF/C, Palma: He's filled his frame, has a solid body. He's improved his overall production in the post area. He had good foot work, used his body, and boxed out to haul in rebounds on both ends. He had good balance going up. He scored 12 points, mostly inside. He's a triple threat from the high post. He's a target on the low block.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2686871' first='Tom' last='Lardner'] 6'2 2025 SF, Branson: On a team that lacks real size. Lardner helps in the battle for rebounds, and points in the paint. He had good high post passing finding players on the backdoor cut. He's a hustle guy, and a ball mover. He works hard to defend taller players. He's a newcomer.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2686625' first='Tyler' last='Wells'] 6'1 2026 Guard, Branson: He helps out in different areas. He's not afraid to shoot shots behind the 3 point line if he's open. He squares up ready for the catch 3 around the perimeter. He has good movement without the ball, making the cut, finding open space. He's a ball mover with good passing around the perimeter.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2197849' first='Jacob' last='Sutton'] 5'10 2026 Point Guard, Menlo Atherton: He's an experienced point guard. A pass first type, but is well capable of putting points on the board. He has the patience up top to settle things, and the handles and the body to penetrate the paint. He makes good decisions on whether to shoot or pass. He has good body control. He can hit the mid-range jumper off the dribble. He plays good on ball defense. He sees the court in transition.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2275971' first='Jerry' last='Williams'] 6'3 2026 Combo Guard, Menlo Atherton: He's getting his opportunities this season. He's a big guard with a solid body. He can handle physical contact while using his dribble, and vision to create shot opportunities for himself and others. He sees the court to make long strong passes up, and across court. He'll rebound, push, pass for assists in transition, on the other end, he'll finish strong at the rim. He made three- 3 pointers for 17 points.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2052078' first='Trevor' last='Cadigan'] 6'3 2025 Shooting Guard, Menlo Atherton: He looks for his shot, has movement without the ball. He's shot ready with a good release up top. He hit several pull up jumpers from mid-range off the dribble, from different angles. He hit 3- 3's from the corner, and top. He was effective from the high post area passing and shooting.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2089525' first='JJ' last='Barton'] 6'3 2026 Guard/Forward, Bellarmine College Prep: He's a a good all around prospect. We like his effort on the defensive side of the ball. At 6'2 he has the strength, and body to hold his own in the post. He has the lateral movement and foot speed to defend on the perimeter. He's a strong rebounder with good passing. He sprints to fill the lanes in transition. On the perimeter he has the handles to drive hard, and play through contact.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2484296' first='Brennan' last='Williams'] 6'6 2026 Guard/ Forward, Bellarmine College Prep: Standing 6'6 he has some point guard qualities, he can facilitate. He can push, pass in transition, he sees the court. He can attack from around the perimeter, he put up open 3's. He can use his length and size in the paint for rebounding and scoring over smaller defenders. 12 points, 9 rebounds</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2415911' first='Tyreese' last='West'] 6'8 2026 Center, Fremont, Oakland: West is on an upward path. He still has work to do. He's showing that size, and continued development he can have an effect on a game. He's a target in the post getting wide, showing hands, and asking for the ball. He has a turnaround paint jumper, a jump hook or turns using his height to shoot over defenders. His foot work is improving, he'll get his rebounds, alter a few shots. He'll shoot the 3 pointer.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2094253' first='Roy' last='Bishop'] 6'1 Point Guard, Fremont, Oakland: He's a good defender. He uses foot speed and strength to get up close and makes you uncomfortable without fouling. He had good recovery that helped him block a layup attempt. He's a good ball handler, and passer. He's comfortable running things up top. He can maneuver his way inside for paint points. . </p>
