Knights of Columbus Tournament: Players That Shined

During the KOC tournament, these players impressed with excellent play or showed the high level abilities they have in their skillset. They played with good pose and showed off why they are either highly recruited or have gained interest by many colleges at multiple levels.    Pruzinsky is a big who knows how to use his size to his advantage to impact the game offensively and defensively. Has long arms and is good at timing blocks which makes it hard to score over him. Plays hard on both sides of the floor often fighting for rebounds and second chance points. He's good at running on fast breaks to finish or clean up a play. Has the ability to see over smaller defenders to make good passes from the perimeter or paint and is good at spacing out when his teammates are driving.     A strong and athletic wing who plays a good all around game. Plays smart defense and is able to hold his own against bigger players on defense. He had quality plays on the perimeter making sharp passes and setting screens to roll to the basket or pop out at the three. Is good at using his strength and his body to bump off defenders when driving in the lane. Knows how to find weak spots in the defense to convert on layups and contested shots at the rim. Also has a good lefty jumper and has the ability and handle to organize his teams offense.     LaCore is a young guard who plays with great effort and energy. Despite being a freshman, he can heat up scoring the ball against bigger opponents. Knocked down multiple threes including a couple deep and contested threes showing off his shooting ability. Plays with pure point guard instincts moving well without the ball and facilitating the ball the right way. He's also a crafty player when needing to get to the basket, dribbling his way through defenses to score around the paint.     A tough and physical guard who excels when driving to the basket. He plays with good pose and control when driving in the lane to make passes or score the ball. Has a good touch around the rim often converting on difficult shots and layups on the paint. Knows how to play off the ball and moves around a lot to free himself and the offense. Has the ability to beat defenders off the dribble with his quick first step. Has good anticipation on defense deflecting a couple passes with his quick hands.      One of the best players in his class not only in Texas but the nation, displayed why he's so highly ranked. He's a long and strong 6'8 who excels at taking advantages of mismatches in the paint. He's a good passer whether he's on the block or on the perimeter. Has long strides and covers a lot of ground when driving from perimeter to the paint. Also can dictate the offense and bring the ball up the court. Is good at using his length to alter the passing lanes on defense and contest shots. Has the ability to finish in traffic with good concentration and good footwork when in the paint.     Laczkowski is a smart player who already impacts the game with his IQ and knowing how to play the proper way within an offense. He also has the height and skills to make an even bigger impact on offense. He's a good shooter and is always a threat to knock down threes when left open on the perimeter. Is able to dribble and post up defenders to rise up over them and hit jumpers. Has a good post game with good footwork. Runs the floor well on transition whether it's getting back on defense or running on offense.
