1.) 2025 SF [player_tooltip player_id='1381414' first='Jack' last='McCaffery'] (Iowa City West) -- 24.8 points per game

McCaffery has had some huge scoring games so far this season, and the scary part for opposing teams is that he hasn't even really shot it that well yet this season, especially from the 3-point line. The future Butler wing is shooting just 21% from behind the arc after shooting nearly 35% last year. If he can improve on that number a bit, he could approach 30 a night.

2.) 2025 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1381415' first='Trey' last='McKowen'] (Kennedy) -- 24.2

With the constant start-and-stop that McKowen is able to play with, I'm not quite sure how defenders are supposed to try and stay with him. He's so good at changing speeds and directions, shoots it incredibly well off the dribble, and is a tough finisher at the rim who doesn't shy away from contact. The future Upper Iowa guard is also averaging 4.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 4.2 steals per game in addition to his big scoring numbers.

3.) 2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2520040' first='Kai' last='Chamberlain'] (Sioux City North) -- 23.8

Chamberlain has stepped up following the loss of [player_tooltip player_id='1765514' first='Noah' last='Conley'], who transferred to Heelan, and he has thrived in his junior year, putting up nearly 24 points a night. He's a talented guard who likes to attack the rim, but he also shoots it well off the catch.

4.) 2025 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1759897' first='Kyle' last='Cason'] (Dallas Center-Grimes) -- 23.7

Cason, a two-time state champion at Valley, transferred to DCG, in part, to get a chance to be the star, and he's doing just that for the Mustangs in his senior year in averaging just under 24 points a game. A long wing who can shoot it or attack off the dribble, he's getting a chance to showcase everything he's capable of offensively this season.

5.) 2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1977422' first='Rio' last='Aguirre'] (Ankeny) -- 22.7

Aguirre has a great feel for the game and doesn't take bad shots. He knows how to get to the spots he wants to be on the floor, finishes through contact at the rim, and is a knockdown shooter both off the dribble and the catch. He's such a smooth offensive player that he can drop 25 on you before you even notice.

6.) 2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1978112' first='Carter' last='Light'] (Davenport Central) -- 21.8

Light is having a great start to his junior year, scoring in a variety of ways for the Blue Devils. He's at his best when he's using his combination of handles and quickness to blow by defenders and get to the rim or the free-throw line.

7.) 2025 SF [player_tooltip player_id='2397255' first='Cole' last='Odefey'] (Bettendorf) -- 20.3

Odefey was a nice secondary or tertiary player last year for the Bulldogs, but has taken his game up to another level during his senior year, pouring in over 20 points a game and showing the ability to not only attack the rim and finish through contact, but also to step out and stretch the floor, posting 45-43-87 shooting splits so far this season.

8.) 2025 PF [player_tooltip player_id='1381412' first='Davis' last='Kern'] (Linn-Mar) -- 20.2

The future South Dakota State big man has been his usual extremely productive self so far this season, averaging 7.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 3.3 blocks to go with his scoring. His ability to step out and stretch the floor at 6-9 is rivaled by few in the state, and when paired with his footwork and touch on the block, he's nearly impossible to defend.

9.) 2026 PF [player_tooltip player_id='1172887' first='Tevin' last='Schultz'] (Senior) -- 19.8

Schultz is a strong, physical forward who can bully smaller defenders on the block, but he has also really improved as a shooting threat, taking defenders out onto the perimeter and either shooting over them or putting the ball on the floor and attacking, using his strength to get to the rim and finish through contact.

10.) 2027 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2118611' first='Jerimiah' last='Washpun'] (Liberty) -- 18.7

A quick, talented guard who thrives in the mid-range, Washpun can stop on a dime and elevate into his jumper. He's also really good at getting all the way to the rim, where he's a creative finisher. If he's able to add some consistent range to his game, watch out.
