Thanksgiving week I attended five tournaments and one stand alone game for exactly 24 games and 48 different teams. The events I watched were Phoenix Union Coyote Classic at Central HS, Beyond Basketball Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament at Moon Valley, Millennium at Sandra Day O'Connor, Fear The Hop Tournament at Mesa HS, Sentinel Holiday Classic at Seton Catholic and Horizon Honors and lastly the LV8 Invitational at Chandler-Gilbert CC.

Here were some 2026 SG Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='2339084' first='Samuel' last='Kalikilwa'] West Point

A two-way defensive scoring guard consistently slows down his opponents each outing. He is a very good rebounder using his athletic gifts for his size and can score getting to the basket, falling away from his defenders and earning it at the free throw line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1676630' first='Kristo' last='Jackson'] San Tan Charter (Pictured)

Another top level defender is scoring more and more. He will leap up his for rebounds and/or put backs and he is a sneaky good passer. He will hit the catch three in rhythm and attacks the basket downhill with his physical attitude. He length and aggression are used on defense. He scored 11 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2147243' first='Jaden' last='Rodgers'] Cienega

An athletic guard who will defend. He is an easy athlete to explode up to rebound or to score in the lane. He is an active guard who will defend multiple positions with his length and twitchy nature. He will dunk in on the break, hit the three and get to the rim. He scored 14 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1620346' first='Joshua' last='McManaway'] McClintock

A long guard is natural scorer from inside and out. He can hit the three and pull-up from mid-range. He can spin off of his defenders and score tough shots in the paint and has a polished floater game. He is one of the top rebounders of the team and will even block shots plus make plays for others. He scored 11 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2412264' first='Ty' last='Ty Bynum'] Valley Vista

A long and very lean scoring guard can shoot it with mid-range jumpers and score on and-1's despite his frame. He manages to get himself to the free throw line with his deceptive speed and quickness to get to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1697292' first='Rylan' last='Parsley'] Sandra Day O'Connor

One of the longest guard/wings in the entire state has elite size for position and high skill level. He is a fluid mover and can rattle off triples off the catch one by one. He will rebound, make plays better then he did a year ago for his teammate with improved court vision.

[player_tooltip player_id='2280481' first='Cam' last='Connell'] Chaparral

A thicker guard/wing can get downhill and absorb the contact to score or get to the free throw line. He will side step and hit the three or with the step back and side step into a deeper three. He can also blow by with his left hand. He scored 17 points.
