<p>Thanksgiving week I attended five tournaments and one stand alone game for exactly 24 games and 48 different teams. The events I watched were <strong>Phoenix Union Coyote Classic</strong> at Central HS, <strong>Beyond Basketball Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament</strong> at Moon Valley, <strong>Millennium at Sandra Day O'Connor, Fear The Hop Tournament</strong> at Mesa HS, <strong>Sentinel Holiday Classic</strong> at Seton Catholic and Horizon Honors and lastly the <strong>LV8 Invitational</strong> at Chandler-Gilbert CC. </p>

<p>The bigger forward scored 14 points with multiple rip thrus, tough and-1's in traffic, runners and got to the free throw line four times and cashed in. He rebounds at a good clip in his area and will block shots. The <strong>Utah State </strong>commit is a tough cover. </p>

<p>A scoring point guard had a good showing, He scored 14 points with multiple assists. He can take contact in traffic, score with running layup, he has counter moves in the paint. deep three point range, offensive rebound put backs and changes speeds well. He is a good passer to drive and kick and slither the ball into the paint. </p>

<p>Hammond scored 18 points in their defeat but he was one of the main reasons that it was close. The lefty will drive to score, he has a nice jump hook shot, he will be a triple threat to face-up, rip thru or shoot it from the high post and he can knock down the three. He boxes his man out well and uses two hands to rebound and he has a sneaky good handle and will make a play for a teammate. </p>

<p>A fast combo guard handles some lead role duties and will score with drive by layups, threes off the catch and quick bursts and ball fakes into layups. He is a good passer in traffic and is quick on the ball defensively. He scored 13 points in their win. </p>

<p>A hyper athletic undersized guard can throw it down fairly easily. He scored 12 points and will defend. He changes speeds and will get downhill and he is a very athletic driver with a quick first step. He is a rebound chaser and will get loose balls. He is a tough on-ball defender with his quick twitch reflexes and brings energy to the court. </p>

<p>The point guard for one of the top teams in the state is Everson. He will score with blow by's past his defender, catch threes in the corner and step backs threes. He sees the court with advanced vision and throws the lob pass perfectly. </p>

<p>A strong framed point guard has a very polished mid-range pull-up. He has a nice floater game and scores with layups in traffic and runners off the glass. He is very calm and comfortable with the ball and will facilitate and score. He had 12 points to go along with 5 assists. </p>

<p>A bigger point forward runs the show a lot of them for the top 3A team. He scored 12 points with drives using his size and frame and getting the and-1 in traffic. He can spin off of his defenders and scores with back door cuts, floaters and he is a very good live dribble passer. He had close to five assists.</p>

<p>A scoring combo guard set the tone early in their win with multiple steals and layups. He plays the passing lanes and times it perfectly. He gets downhill to the basket as he is quicker than you realize. </p>

<p>A tough match-up to defend as he scored 12 points. He will score with drives with heavy contact thru contact and inside takes using his strength and skill. He can hit perimeter jumpers but thrives closest to the basket. </p>

<p>A strong upper bodied combo guard who can hit the catch three, pull-up from mid-range and he has a deceptively quick burst he uses to score with reverse layups. He is a good rebounder and plays the game from the neck up. He scored 11 points. </p>

<p>The big man in the middle scores with offensive rebound put backs, he dunks the ball easily and he can rip thru and go to work. He really rebounds well in his area and runs the floor plus he is a sneaky good passer for a big. He scored 9 points. </p>
