[player_tooltip player_id='1543654' first='Joseph' last='Spann'] led Lincoln Prep to its biggest win of the season, sinking a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer while also putting up 25 points in the victory over Richwood. Spann is a lethal shooter, both from beyond the arc and in the mid-range, and he's known for his tenacious defense. As the foundation of this tough Lincoln Prep team, he consistently makes the right play and operates within the offense. Spann is a rising star in the 2026 class, and with a challenging schedule ahead, he is sure to earn even more accolades in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1330583' first='Zion' last='Weeks'] is one of the best players you'll find in the state. A fierce competitor, he can do it all on the court—and he does it all at an elite level. While his game isn't solely focused on scoring, he can put up points whenever needed. Weeks is an unpredictable offensive threat, equally dangerous with or without the ball. His game is polished, and he consistently impresses with plays that make you wonder, How did he do that? When he's on the floor, the excitement never stops. Weeks is one of the few players whose skill set clearly translates to the next level, and it's evident that he will play college basketball if he chooses to. Any coach lucky enough to land him will have a true gamer on their hands. In the final game of the tournament, despite being face-guarded, he still found ways to impact the game and make a difference.

[player_tooltip player_id='2466393' first='Zion' last='Hunter'] initially impressed with his ability to knock down the three-pointer, but recently he has transitioned into more of an attack mode, putting constant pressure on the defense. A strong, smart guard, Hunter thrives in high-pressure situations and always looks to take on a leadership role for his team. He's a downhill force at the wing but can also step in and handle point guard duties when needed. A willing defender, he embodies the gritty, hardworking spirit of Monroe basketball players. Zion's dedication to improving his game is evident, and it shows in his performances on the court.

Mason is a traditional big man who made his presence felt throughout the tournament by dominating the paint with shot-blocking and rim protection. Offensively, he excels as a rim runner and is a strong rebounder. You can consistently count on him for 10-12 points per game while playing with relentless effort. Few players in the state possess his combination of size and athleticism, and even fewer match his energy for the game. Mason's production is steady, and Richwood will undoubtedly rely on his presence in both the offensive and defensive schemes to secure some big wins.

CaDerrius Williams was named Tournament MVP for his standout performance at the Belton Williams Classic, finishing the final game with 19 points. His size and maturity on the court are so impressive that I initially thought he was a senior, only to find out he's just a freshman. Williams is a big player who plays big—he's a downhill force with a steady handle and is always a threat to score. His mindset and physicality on the court are those of a player well beyond his grade level, often challenging his opponents with his strength. There's a reason he earned MVP honors, and as the season progresses, his name will undoubtedly gain more recognition in the prep hoops community as he enters the conversation as one of the top 2028 players in the state. Coaches will soon take notice of his upside and potential. Williams already has the size, skill, and mentality to be a star, and he's consistently one of the hardest workers on the floor. His motor is incredibly high, making him a constant force on both ends of the court.
