Last week we turned our 2027 watchlist into an official rankings update with 100 prospects in the SoCal's sophomore class in the mix. In this piece we take a closer look at the prospects who fall among No.'s 16-20.

16. [player_tooltip player_id='2436261' first='Sloane' last='Harris'] | Etiwanda

Harris could be next up in a long lineage of talented guards to come out of the Inland Empire powerhouse program that is Etiwanda. The 6-foot-1 point guard has made tremendous strides as an offensive threat over the last year, especially with the consistency of his perimeter shooting. Harris has always been a hard-nosed defender and smart and savvy table setter, but the added scoring punch he's providing should elevate his recruitment.

17. [player_tooltip player_id='2435391' first='Godschoice' last='Eboigbodin'] | JSerra

There are few players in Southern California who produce on both ends more regularly than Eboigbodin. The 6-foot-5 wing/forward is a double-double threat in points and rebounds each time he takes the floor and much of his impact comes on hustle or dirty work type plays. Eboigbodin is one of the strongest and most physical sophomores in the state which allows him to defend multiple positions, clean the offensive and defensive boards and finish through or above contact on paint touches.

18. [player_tooltip player_id='2436264' first='Nick' last='Welch, Jr.'] | Rolling Hills Prep

Welch has established himself as one of the better traditional five men in Southern California. The 6-foot-8 center has a fundamental back-to-the-basket skill-set complete with a variety of post moves and soft touch on those paint finishes. Welch has also begun to show that he can step out on the perimeter and knock down face-up shots and three-point shots off the catch.

19. [player_tooltip player_id='2646533' first='Taiwo' last='Daramola'] | Bakersfield Christian

Daramola is an under-the-radar prospect nationally who has a great chance to blow up over the next few years. The 6-foot-7 forward/center is an explosive athlete who thrives as a rim-runner and lob threat in transition. The sophomore is continuing to build his ball screen and roll feel and skill-set but has shown flashes of that becoming a viable offensive tool. Daramola shines on the defensive end with his quick-twitch reaction time when helping and contesting on drives and ball screen coverages.

20. [player_tooltip player_id='2435373' first='Max' last='Hackney'] | Heritage Christian

Hackney should see an expanded role on this year's Heritage Christian squad because of his ability to stretch the floor to the three-point line. The 6-foot-5 wing has deep and consistent range on his catch-and-shoot three-ball and has also shown the ball skills and athleticism to attack closeouts, get to the rim, and score on straight-line drive opportunities.
