We continue our positional breakdown for the Class of 2026 with a look at some of New England's most notable Combo Guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='2341338' first='Ty' last='Tabales'] checks in as the top ranked Combo Guard and #14 overall prospect in this class. The New Hampton guard has good positional size, displays solid athleticism, and plays with a nice feel for the game on the offensive end of the floor. He's a capable multi-level scorer that does a nice job of making reads as a facilitator, while also showing the ability to be a lockdown perimeter defender on the other end of the floor.

Below, we'll take a look at ten more Combo Guards to watch from the Class of 2026:

[player_tooltip player_id='2472274' first='Bentley' last='Shelton']

Shelton, a scorer out of St. Thomas More, has shown the ability to get it done at multiple levels this season while also being a creative ball-handler. He's a knockdown shooter from behind the arc that is efficient in catch and shoots situations as well as running off screens. He's leveraging his shooting to open up driving lanes and has some wiggle in the paint off the bounce. Defensively, he's tough on the ball and disruptive in passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2553689' first='Louis' last='O'Keefe']

A 6'4" guard at the Newman School, O'Keefe has started the year strong, proving to be a versatile scorer. He does a nice job as a driver, showing the ability to finish with either hand at the rim, and has proven to be a strong perimeter shooter, particularly when he's able to step into his jumper. His size gives him an advantage on the perimeter, while his off ball movement and creativity around the rim allow him to be a high level scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2452018' first='Brandon' last='White']

White, a crafty combo at the Taft School, impacts the game with his effort and energy on the defensive end of the floor, while providing creativity as a facilitator and scorer on the offensive end. He's can guard either back-court spot, fights through screens, and does a nice job of keeping the ball in front of him. Offensively, he's a good decision maker out of ball screens, capable of scoring himself or finding the roll man at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2465124' first='Michael' last='Waters']

A big guard at Xavier, Waters has the ability to make plays off the bounce and knock down shots from behind the arc, while adding some punch on the defensive end of the floor. He has good positional size and length, can make shots with deep range, and does a nice job of getting to his spots off the bounce. Defensively, he has the ability to guard any spot on the perimeter, showing a high defensive IQ and the ability to generate plenty of steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2553823' first='Chais' last='Harriette']

Harriette, a shifty guard at the Rivers School, is a creator with the ball in his hands, breaking defenders down off the bounce and making plays once he gets a piece of the paint. He can make perimeter jumpers, but is at his best when he gets downhill, using a quick first step and good burst to get into the paint. He's a tough defender that uses his length and athleticism to keep opposing ball-handlers in front of him and out of the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2696648' first='Kaden' last='Bedard']

A 6'0" guard at the Newman School with the ability to play on or off the ball, Bedard is a stat sheet stuffer that already has a triple-double under his belt this season. He's a good rebounder that isn't afraid to mix it up in the paint, knows how to play angles as a passer, and can find ways to score at multiple levels. Defensively, he's tough on the ball, does a good job as a communicator, and can quickly turn defense into offense in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2696652' first='Noah' last='Morrin']

Morrin, a confident perimeter scorer at Suffield Academy, has the ability to make shots in bunches from behind the arc. The lanky guard does a nice job of moving without the basketball, finding open windows to get his shot off and doing his work early to be ready on the catch. He's a willing ball mover that also knows how to score as a cutter. Defensively, he uses his length to his advantage to make an impact on the ball and in passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2633506' first='Jimmy' last='Vahey']

A 6'4" guard at Austin Prep, Vahey has great size for the position and sneaky athleticism around the rim. He's a strong defender that makes plays off the ball, including protecting the rim from the help side. He's a capable handler in transition that knows how to attack the basket as a scorer. He gets to his spots off the bounce, can score in the mid-range, and does a nice job of using his length to finish over size in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2696673' first='Tyler' last='Gelb']

Gelb, a high IQ defensive guard at Loomis Chaffee, does a nice job of capitalizing on easy offensive opportunities in transition. He's an instinctive defender that jumps passing lanes and makes timely decision on when to double team, leading to transition scoring opportunities. He's a good decision maker in the open floor that is at his best attacking the rim, either scoring himself or dumping it off to his bigs on the block.

[player_tooltip player_id='2696676' first='Nolan' last='Ames']

The 6'3" guard out of Camden Hills is among the top scorers in the MPA, proving such with a 30-point game to open the season. Ames has good size on the perimeter and the athleticism and strength to scorer around the rim off his drives. He's a talented shooter that is comfortable in catch and shoot situations or creating himself off the bounce. His size allows him to guard multiple positions while providing a presence on the defensive glass.

Keep an eye out for our next rankings update positional breakdown, a look at 2026's shooting guards!
