I recently predicted that [player_tooltip player_id='1336295' first='Gerald' last='Patterson'] would win the MVP of the 4A Sky conference, and he played like one in Cimarron's first game against Desert Pines on Saturday. Patterson really started cooking the second half, and finished with 31 points. The Spartans got the win as well. If there are colleges that need a big guard/wing who can score on the inside or outside, this is your guy.

[player_tooltip player_id='1974865' first='Ralu' last='Udom'] has grown a few inches and now stands at 6'5. He has also improved on both offense and defense. In these past couple of months I've noticed that he has some great finishing ability, and he can also hit shots from the outside. On defense, he can get up and block shots. I think he is still only getting better, and I'm looking forward to watching his development continue this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450433' first='David' last='Hayes'] moves up the list due to his production and efficiency. He has a knack for getting to his spot in the paint, and can finish through contact. He also does a nice job of drawing fouls every so often. In addition to his interior game, he has a good shooting stroke and can knock down 3's. Expect him to be an integral part of Shadow Ridge's success this season.

Ja'Mari Cottington takes a huge jump and is now sitting in the 64 spot. He has some incredible athleticism and always leaves it all out there on the court. I'm also a fan of the way he fights for rebounds, even though he is usually going up against guys 3 or 4 inches taller than him. I think he'll have a great season if can get to his spots on offense and makes plays on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284099' first='Jack' last='Walker'] moves up a few spots due to his athleticism and versatility. He can score, rebound and defend. Plus he's 6'5. If he can help lead Boulder City to a winning season and the playoffs, he may move up the rankings even more.
