Mayhem on Military at St. John's College High School featured an outstanding collection of teams, matchups, and talent. From top tier nationally ranked talent to thriving under-the-radar players, the event was tremendous all around. A big thanks to Marc Stern and the entire Capitol Hoops team as well as Marcellus Bowie and the Legit Stats Team for their hard work in making the event happen. Much appreciated!

Although he wasn't the most statically impressive, Ibe still found ways to leverage his length and mobility to finish at the rim and be a rim deterrent. When he decided to be aggressive at the rim, Ibe was a real problem. That was highlighted by a big one hand poster dunk after catching the ball in the dunker spot from Emmanuel Kanga.

Mancho offered glimpses of an intriguing potential inside-outside with finishes at the rim and by confidently burying a corner catch-and-shoot three. I love that he was the most vocal player on the floor, often communicating defensive assignments and where he was helping on the floor.

Garrett was an efficient and potent scorer in Georgetown Prep's games against St. John's (19 points, 7-10 FGA) and Friendship Tech (16 points, 7-11 FGA) while corralling a total of 18 rebounds. The footwork and touch inside was impressive as he helped lead the Georgetown Prep charge.

Kanga displayed an alluring blend of physical tools, shooting upside and feel flashes. The rangy big thrived as a rim finisher, which was highlighted by a smooth post spin finish in traffic. His fluid pull-up three looked fluid and confident. It makes me believe there is something to really unlock there. My favorite play from Kanga was an outstanding short roll read and drop off pass to Ibe for a monster dunk. Kanga's tools and evolving skill set makes him a high ceiling big.

Folefac's imprint was all over the game in Mt. Zion Prep's big win over Carroll. He's a versatile big with a strong frame that leverages his power, length and touch to excel. His first quarter was especially impressive. Folefac connected on multiple jumpers (baseline catch-and-shoot and a pull-up) and delivered a pinpoint outlet pass assist. He finished the game with 15 points, 9 rebounds (3 offensive), 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block.
