The floor general did it all for the Grizzlies in the win. He pushed the tempo, creating transition opportunties for teammates. Threaded the needle with great vision in the half court, or kept defenders guessing with no look feeds. And when his squad needed a big bucket to hold off a Memorial run, it was often Shepard who produced those scores. Including deep three pointers from well behind the line. Heady player on both ends of the court, with the swagger and chip on his shoulder needed to thrive as a smaller guard in a game of giants.

Most of the first quarter was a disaster for the Chargers, but it ended with a nice stepback three from Garrett. It was the first of a couple impressive off the dribble threes for a player of his size and build. There's times he can still be casual with the ball, but the progress and upside remain very evident.

Eats up ground in a hurry on drives and in transition, with a gliding style that allows him to slip through gaps in the defense. Had a couple times where he got a mismatch on the block and went to work with post ups. Garrett finished with an efficient 19 points as he looks set to take his game to the next level as a junior.

When Northside raced out to it's early lead, it was behind the hot shooting hand of the sophomore. He drilled three triples in the open frame as a catch and shoot threat. Along with the microwave shooting ability from deep, he's scrappy and impactful. Popped up for offensive rebounds to help his smaller team. And had a dagger type steal and score late in the contest.

Uptempo lead guard, who appears to be Memorial's "X Factor". Aggressive and quick defender, while on or off the ball. Pressures the rim on offense, complete with a big time acrobatic finish in the second half. Type of guard who's energy can change games and will be vital for a bigger Memorial team that will need Love and other guards to step up this winter.
