Will it be a four team race this season?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Conference Commentary</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Top Ten Potential</strong>: Southwest Minnesota Christian, RTR, Hills-Beaver Creek</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Southwest MN Christian has three starters back including [player_tooltip player_id='2373366' first='Trevin' last='Prins'] plus reserves. The chance is there for the Eagles to not only win the section but try and push Dawson-Boyd and others for that section title. I'm not sure RTR has enough to make another state push but they have surprised people before and [player_tooltip player_id='2389876' first='Chase' last='Christianson'] should have a great season. Hills-Beaver Creek has all of their key pieces back from a 19-win team and expectations are high with only two players having graduated (and all their all league players returning). </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Compete with Most</strong>: Murray County Central, Edgerton, Westbrook-Walnut Grove, Adrian/Ellsworth</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>MCC will have to replace three all league players from a .500 team and while they should be a competitive team again, they might not have the punch to push into the top three of the league. Edgerton won only six games last year but they return their best players. They are a small team but a team that should be somewhat better. They have a solid junior class. Westbrook-Walnut Grove should also take a big step as they return nearly everything from last year and they have a top player in the league to lean on in Hudson Jenniges. Adrian/Ellsworth has their top player back and should be a bit better this year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Rebuilding: </strong>Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey, Red Rock Central, Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey has a new coach and almost an entirely new line-up that will have new starters and some new reserves. Red Rock Central lost seven seniors from last year's 12-15 team and this year they will have only one senior. There is a lot of missing experience this year and it will likely take a season of experience before they can be a solid team.
