Conference Commentary

Top Contenders: Avail, Liberty Classical

Avail has three of their top six back from a team that won 21 games last year and beat everybody in their league (undefeated in conference play). They have guys to replace but are still sitting in a good spot. Liberty was on the heels of Avail last year but they should flip flop spots. Everybody returns for Liberty but can they make up the difference in those blowout losses to Avail from last year? We think they can.

Competing: Math & Science Academy, Community of Peace, Hmong Academy

Math & Science Academy was the third best team in the league a year ago but their top players are gone and they are likely to take a step back from a season ago. Community of Peace had some young players get some experience after a major change during the middle of the year, they should be a game or two better this year. Hmong Academy played 19 games last year so they get into the competing category but they really struggled last year going 2-17 and losing by an average of 39 points a game.

Didn't Play Much Last Year: Academy of Science and Agriculture, Groves Academy

Academy of Science and Agriculture played eleven games last season and won two of them. Groves Academy did not play last season.
