Brooks will take on a much larger role as a Sophomore than a year ago. He got heavy minutes as a Freshman, but in 2024-2025, he will be counted on by Aberdeen Christian to be a main factor and playmaking leader for them. A main reason is that [player_tooltip player_id='1821026' first='Becker' last='Bosma'] has transferred to Groton Area. Jett has solid size from a wing/forward spot, and will look to be assertive going at the hoop off the drive. I think he hits the boards hard as well, using his strong and developed frame. I think he can be a NAIA prospect at the next level.

Keszler will be a major playmaker as a distributor and scorer for Castlewood with the departure of stud guard Lane Tvedt. He does a great job at feeding 6'9” University of Sioux Falls signee [player_tooltip player_id='1327459' first='Bryon' last='Laue'], and that will continue. Jamison will also need to take matters into his own hands as a scorer when teams try and throw extra bodies at Laue. I believe Keszler can score 18+ points per game and should be recruited by NAIA/D3 schools.

Bass is a prospect I like, and it starts out with his motor and bounce combination. He can play on a wing and will crash the boards hard from the perimeter. He is a strong and physical kid that will also get dirty and compete for the ball. I think he earns a lot of his opportunities and will make a large impact.

De Smet lost seven Seniors to graduation, with an all Senior starting lineup for the class B runner-ups. De Smet is a mainstay at the State B tournament, and they normally go with the next-man-up approach with seamless success. [player_tooltip player_id='2286030' first='Grant' last='Wilkinson'] looks to be the next man up that will have to have a major breakout season for them to make a run. Grant will be fed the rock in the interior and will need to be a force for them. He should be one of the top few rebounders in class B. His body and build looks to be improving, along with his movement. He's a high-end football recruit, but he also has the upside to be a class B all-state player on the hardwood.

Ethan also lost a bunch of Seniors to graduation. Key contributors and go-to guys in point guard Gerlach and 6'4” forwards Klumb and Gustafson. Nebelsick is a long 2-guard that was a starter for them. He needs a big Senior year in all facets for Ethan to have a chance. He has shown the ability to score the rock from all levels and be a threat. He'll most likely be a solid stock-riser in the 2025 class.

Maynard is an under-the-radar class B prospect that will have a really good Sophomore season. He's already got the varsity experience under his belt. A slasher from the wing, with a gritty and hard-working play style. Will compete and attack the offensive glass. I think Maynard has a do-it-all season for Hitchcock-Tulare.

Howard reached the pinnacle of class B last year, taking home a state championship in a win over De Smet. Howard loses a lot of physicality and size losing 6'8” Big Kolt Koepsell to graduation. I saw Howard play at the Dakota State team camp and Hinker looks to be the guy to try and damper the loss of that rebounding, physicality, and toughness. He's a guard/forward that can handle the ball, and he was getting into the paint off the drive and brought down a bunch of offensive and defensive rebounds. Him and [player_tooltip player_id='1503843' first='Luke' last='Koepsell'] are set for big seasons.

Kulsea is recovered from his knee injury based off of what I saw from him at the Northern State team camp. Ipswich is lacking size, so Max will need to play big and be abnormally physical on the court. He'll most likely have to guard size and be a main guy on the boards. He can slash off the drive offensively, using his athleticism and strong and muscular build to be effective.

[player_tooltip player_id='2348517' first='Davis' last='Chase'] isn't a guy we've talked about yet, but he's an extremely under the radar Big that started as a Freshman for James Valley Christian. He's athletic and can run and move well laterally. He was at 6'7” a year ago and the hope is that he's grown some. We will monitor that as the season starts. If he hits the 6'9”-6'10” mark, he should be sought after by college programs. I've only seen him a couple times, so I'll be sure to see him and how he looks physically as the season tips-off.

Pooler, I saw at the Dakota State team camp, where he was one of the top overall scorers. One of the games, he put on a scoring clinic, getting into the lane for all types and finishes, floaters, and he was hitting jumpers as well. A small guard with athleticism, quickness, and bounce. Boyd started as a Freshman. Oldham-Ramona-Rutland will be a short team with no size, and they'll rely on Pooler's speed and quickness to try and be competitive.

I haven't seen Larson extensively, but he definitely stands out with how he competes and plays all over the court. A long 6'3” wing that runs the floor at a high level and has great overall athletic ability and movement. Potter County lost Ryder Falkenhagen and Carter Luikens, so Larson could really surprise and put together a nice season. He's not just an athlete, he can put the ball in the hoop and shoot the three. His ranking will change drastically, for the better.
