MTXI 2024: Day 2 Standout Senior Guards

In the first quarter, Camden drilled 3 three-pointers, forcing the defense to stretch and account for him the moment he crossed halfcourt. His consistency continued throughout the game. He also knocked down mid-range pull-ups with a good feel for the contesting defenders. Cowgill showcased a knack for using his body weight, off-hand, and shoulder to create space, using his defender's momentum against them when driving to his spots for the jumper. His shooting mechanics were terrific, from his elevation to his ability to stay squared with the basket at all times, ready to catch and shoot in an instant.     [player_tooltip player_id='2556932' first='Sean' last='McCoy'] played with a great feel for the game, always playing hard and within the flow of things. His terrific motor and consistent productivity made him a player who constantly looked to impact the game in any way possible. Defensively, McCoy's active hands, especially in help-side positioning, allowed him to make quick swipes at the ball, disrupting the opponent's shot or getting a clean steal. Offensively, the [player_tooltip player_id='2556233' first='6'2' last='']” guard was very reliable, knowing exactly how to move without the ball and always finding himself in the right spot at the best times, often cleaning up the mess, producing second-chance points with his sneaky attacks on the boards.     Trent Pane proved to be a phenomenal glue guy. His effective pacing on offense ensured he never rushed, instead taking whatever the defense gave him and making smart decisions. This patience and awareness translated to his defensive prowess as well. Always alert, Trent excelled at switching and helping on defense with impeccable timing and positioning. His ability to read the game and anticipate plays made him a crucial asset, consistently disrupting the opponent's rhythm     [player_tooltip player_id='1358188' first='Kingston' last='Flemings'] played with unmatched passion and intensity, bringing relentless energy to every aspect of the game. His effort and tenacity made him a dominant presence on the court, impacting the game far beyond scoring. He proved to be absolute dog on the glass, Flemings dominated the boards, showing an unyielding determination to crash the boards and secure rebounds regardless of the number or size of players trying to box him out. Offensively, Flemings was a relentless downhill penetrator, attacking the rim with force and fearlessness. His ability to break down defenses with his dribble drives added constant pressure that overwhelms a defense.     [player_tooltip player_id='2355319' first='Antoine' last='Shannon']'s motor was electric, making him an incredible transition threat on both ends of the court. Offensively, he consistently sprinted the court, finishing fast breaks with dunks, corner threes, or downhill layups off a stampede catch. Defensively, his relentless effort allowed him to chase down opponents for spectacular blocks at the rim. Antoine's ability to impact the game in transition was unmatched, showcasing his speed, athleticism, and unwavering energy.
