The season is just around the corner. We have had a busy fall seeing players in various settings including camps, workouts, and open gyms. In our Market Corrections series there are two types of movement. First are new players that are moving into the rankings from the evaluations this fall. The second is prospects that made “significant” moves up the board. We will be breaking down both of these areas for each class along with the reasoning from the fall evaluations that made them names we wanted to correct before the season gets underway.

Here are Market Corrections: 2028 New Additions!

[player_tooltip player_id='2389398' first='Orlando' last='Edwards'] (Peoria)

“This 5'10” point guard is a fun watch. Left handed point guard that plays with a ton of flair. Opened up with a crisp three then followed it with a slick step back from 10 feet putting his man on skates. Slick ball handler that plays well in transition with his speed.” – Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2532016' first='Luke' last='Lettvin'] (Niles Notre Dame)

“The 5'11” combo guard is one to watch for Notre Dame! Lefty with a sweet looking jump shot that he buried from all over the floor. Pesky defender as well that has active hands and good instincts on that end.” – Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2515916' first='Jack' last='Fabian'] (Benet)

“Fabian is a 6'0” shooting guard that was really good in this setting cutting to the hoop off the ball for an array of layups. Also pulled from the volleyball line with an absolute bomb of a three.” – Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2532004' first='Josiah' last='Hall'] (St. Ignatius)

“Hall is a 6'0” shooting guard that had a breakout performance with how well he shot the ball from beyond the arc. The Ignatius guard shot lights out in the game we saw him. In the first 5 on 5 game he rained in four triples. Deep range on his three point shot that consistently went in.” – Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2632077' first='Jeremiah' last='Weatherford'] (Rich Township)

“Weatherford is a 6'0” shooting guard that really shined in the game we saw. First thing that stands out is the physical profile with this long and athletic wing. Has projectability to continue to grow. He is super explosive in transition getting to the rim. Sweeping layups, wins on straight line takes, and is slippery through defenders with his handle getting to the rack. Can even post up a little for guard. Gets to the line at a nice clip. Moves his feet laterally on the defensive end staying in front of his man.” - Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2632080' first='Omer' last='Gabela'] (Lake Forest Academy)

“We talked about the upside of this 6'6” rising freshman playing against the upperclassmen group. He had some flashes against the 10th graders as well. Like how he can deck it from the mid to high-post area. Fluid running the floor in transition for scores on a consistent basis.” – [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2632084' first='Daniel' last='Salkauskas'] (Stagg)

“This incoming freshman made a name for himself with his play at the event. He is a 6'6” power forward that is thinner than his brother, but can really play with his all-around game and skill set. Rained in multiple threes looking super comfortable as a face up four man. Even hit a tough baseline step back. Fluid getting up and down the floor and flashed as a rim protector.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2369873' first='Jared' last='Van Donselaar'] (Grayslake North)

“Jared is a thin but agile big man who runs the floor well and keeps things simple. He's has a long athletic build and shows some handle coordination early for a freshman. Van Donselaar is a rim-running post who contests hard on the glass and shows good touch around the rim. His fifteen-foot jumper is money when he gets clean looks. As Jared continues to grow watch for his name as a serious college prospect.” – Steve Parham from Chi-Town Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2632093' first='Amari' last='Williams'] (Shepard)

“Williams was a prospect that I hadn't seen, but had heard quite a bit of buzz about coming in. He lived up to it with his play. Long and lanky 6'8” post that high pointed rebounds in traffic for put backs. His mobility and agility around the hoop stood out with spin moves for finishes in the pain and quick moves out of the dunker spot. Rim runs with ease getting up and down the floor so well. Showed a smooth mid-range pull up jumper along with very good passing instincts for a young big man.” – Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2632097' first='Alijah' last='Johnson'] (OPRF)

“This 6'6” wide bodied five man is a good athlete. He runs the floor hard, light on this feet with his mobility in the pick/roll. Nifty passer for a big guy.” – Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp
