The season is just around the corner. We have had a busy fall seeing players in various settings including camps, workouts, and open gyms. In our Market Corrections series there are two types of movement. First are new players that are moving into the rankings from the evaluations this fall. The second is prospects that made “significant” moves up the board. We will be breaking down both of these areas for each class along with the reasoning from the fall evaluations that made them names we wanted to correct before the season gets underway.

Here is Market Corrections: 2027 New Additions!

[player_tooltip player_id='2632014' first='Boti' last='Szabo-Zsamaba'] (Lake Forest Academy)

“This was one of the breakout players of the camp. At 6'8” the Lake Forest Academy product will most certainly be ranked after his play in this setting. He has great size and a rock solid frame. For a young big man the way he screens was excellent! Plus area rebounder on both ends of the floor. Finished with touch on dump off passes inside and can deck it a little including one on a short roll. Seals well on the block and is very fundamentally sound!” – [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2532358' first='Zaire' last='Green'] (Whitney Young)

“Green had a strong showing at the camp. He was solid in the game we saw as the 6'2” strong bodied combo guard threw down a nice dunk in transition. Also got a steal and took it the other way for a slam. High-motor guard that should see some back up minutes for the Dolphins.” – Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2632017' first='Kaylen' last='Hardy'] (Peoria)

“Hardy jumped off the floor in the game I saw him. He is a thick bodied 6'3” small forward that got off to a fast start with his shot making draining a stutter step three followed by another crisp jumper. Was a bit streaky the rest of the game, but the potential is definitely there as a shot maker. Physical finisher inside using his size to convert in the paint after getting there with decent handles and rebounds well from his wing spot.” - Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2632023' first='Sutton' last='Massey'] (O'Fallon)

“Massey was the prospect that caught our attention the most in this setting. The 6'4” small forward is a transfer from Desmet whose brother has committed to a D1 program. Well rounded player that impacted on both ends of the floor. Scrappy defender that recorded multiple steals in the open gym games. Often took them the other way for finishes. Crisp ball handler that can deck it in the open floor and half court. Sound looking three point stroke that looks like he should be a plus shooter long term.” – O'Fallon Open Gym

[player_tooltip player_id='2442192' first='Timo' last='Sakoufakis'] (Maine South)

“Very intrigued with this 6'4” wing. The southpaw is a two guard that knocked down shots on a regular basis throughout the event. Corner triples, pull ups, and step backs. Sweet lefty stroke! He has long strides getting to the rim and was often fouled where he proved to be a quality free throw shooter. Flashed some playmaking feel as a secondary passer as well.” – [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2632037' first='Landon' last='Mays'] (Marian Catholic)

“This 6'5” small forward really caught my attention. Thick bodied wing that got after it on the defensive end guarding on the perimeter. Physical finisher around the hoop powering his way in along with finishing in the pick/roll.” - Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2632045' first='Aaron' last='Stauffacher'] (Lincoln Way East)

“Liked the size on the wing at 6'3” and competitiveness as a two way prospect. As an offensive player he runs the floor for buckets, has some skill, handles well in the open floor, and can hit an open three. Defensively he was excellent getting multiple steals including taking them coast to coast. Blocked multiple shots of other wings.” - Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2632047' first='Emmanuel' last='Tezzo'] (Carmel)

“Another good sized wing here at 6'3” that has a long and lanky frame. The skill set is still a work in progress, but the physical tools and athletic upside peaked our interest. He scored in transition and rebounded well.” – [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2631375' first='Ben' last='Hamm'] (New Trier)

“Hamm stands at 6'7” and the big man rebounded consistently well throughout the game we saw high pointing them in traffic on both ends especially offensively where he racked up the put backs. Finished in the pick/roll with his mobility. Showed some passing feel as a big man too.” – Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2632053' first='Thomas' last='Hayes'] (North Lawndale)

“Hayes is a 6'2” shooting guard who put his name on the map with a big performance at Pangos. Knocked in deep pull up threes and was super slick taking it to the rack for scores in the lane. Scoop shots in traffic and explosive straight line takes. Also had an alley-oop finish.” – Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2442193' first='Charlie' last='Blair'] (New Trier)

“Blair has plus size on the wing at 6'3” along with a really good shooting stroke. He Hit an array of threes off the catch. Moved well without the ball on cuts and showed he could get out in the open floor for scores.” – [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2632056' first='Jonathan' last='Booker'] (Rich Township)

“The 5'10” point guard plays taller than that with his good length. Sneaks in for buck backs and was active defensively getting a steal and taking it the other way for a layup. Slick ball handler that flashed as a three point shooter.” – Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2632058' first='Karon' last='Shavers'] (Leo)

“The Leo 6'0” guard that excels playing in the open floor. Good transition player that makes plays as a finisher through contact. He has a good frame and got after it defending on the perimeter.” – Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2490487' first='Torrey' last='Barrett'] (Mt. Carmel)

“Interesting player here. He is a super springy athlete with projectability that flashes, but is raw. Used the athleticism getting on the glass for put backs and converting reverse layups at the rim.” – Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2532320' first='Eli' last='Poulakidas'] (Neuqua Valley)

The younger brother of Yale's star has some intriguing tools that caught our eye this fall in several camp settings. Skilled guard that has shot making and a well-rounded game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2632060' first='Landon' last='Carter'] (Peoria Manual)

“Carter is a 6'3” shooting guard with a long and lanky frame. Finished around the hoop on a pick/roll. Shows a solid release on his shot and rebounds well for a guard.” – Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp

[player_tooltip player_id='2632063' first='Michael' last='Pierre'] (Carmel)

“This 5'9” point guard from the northern suburbs of Chicago was excellent throughout the event. Lead guard that has great burst and quickness with the rock in his hands. Lived in the lane all day with his handles and speed. Soft touch finishing package, active defender, and can hit an open three off the catch. Also mixed it up on the glass for his size.” – [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2383996' first='Braylen' last='Turner'] (Vienna)

[player_tooltip player_id='2630011' first='Jude' last='Harmon'] (Massac County)
