Fortune Panthers Basketball Showcase

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Fortune Early Basketball Showcase was held Saturday November 23, at the Fortune Pavilion Gym. A five game showcase with teams from the San Joaquin Section doing battle. The top teams in Sacramento, Destiny Christian, Inderkum, and Monterey Trail gave us a glimpse of the talent in the area. There were many players that stood out. In the second half he went to work on the boards showing his strength, and ability finishing strong around the rim. He knocked down two 3 pointers. He has the tools to take his game to another level. He's 6'6 can play multiple positions. He has handles, and good movement. He can make 3 pointers and hit mid-range jumpers. He was aggressive attacking the boards for rebounds. He understands consistency will be key for his breakout season. He showed his strength, and energy working in the post, as he continues to grow his game. He had good lift on the paint jumper. He's using one, and two dribbles. He's balanced, playing off two feet, and attacking. He works from the high post, and along the baseline. He brings the energy and effort going after rebounds on both ends. He gets put back points, and starts the transition break. He's gonna get most of his points in the paint, while he continues to develop his jump shot. He's a top notch defender, he runs the court finishing with authority in transition. His mid-range game is better. He's loaded with what ifs. He's long, runs the court. He's starting to show real activity in the paint using his length, and aggression to be a disruptor in the paint.
