The Pack brothers, Michael and Charles, have been hosting tournaments for some years now under their [program_tooltip program_id='2076525' first='Double' last='Trouble'] banner, the two trainers very highly respected in the Atlanta basketball industry.

Of late they've hosted a tipoff tournament at St Francis to kick off the new campaign, here were some frontcourt studs that came through while I was there November 9.

[player_tooltip player_id='2056122' first='Miles' last='Clanton'] | Norcross | 2025

From North Gwinnett comes Clanton, who has been a rapid, though somewhat overlooked, riser through his consistent and hard-working efforts the last couple of seasons for the Dawgs. He's clearly matured his all-around game as he dons the blue and white for the Devils, expanding from a predominantly all-out, around-the-basket energy guy who always posts numbers to a much more efficient multi-level threat, having improved most notably the deep shooting range, making him a much more diverse package to deal with. The effort-level is just relentless, there is no rollback in how hard he plays for the near full 32 minutes he spends on the floor, and that kind of grit and determined play is gold at the next level. He's been underrated and underappreciated, in Scouting circles certainly around the Metro, and that should and needs to change.

[player_tooltip player_id='2025384' first='Thomas' last='Landeck'] | Johns Creek | 2026

More bulk and perhaps an inch or so taller than last winter, here comes Landeck for the Gladiators in what should take shape as a rapidly expanding recruiting profile for this 6-6 swingman. Great mind for the game, and within the good stuff JCHS runs he knows how to get open. You'd better get a hand on him past 19'9" otherwise it's a bucket, a pure satroke that is textbook material and should be taught to younger players. The added beef makes it look like he's going to be mixing it up closer to the basket more, something both the Glads need for them to go far and for him a logical next step as he'll need to be proficient at both at the next level.

Jakobi Henriques | Notre Dame Academy | 2027

Keep a watchful eye on Eylon Graham over in Duluth as well, he another long 2027 around 6-5 or 6-6 with a ton of upside. Henriques though pops when you watch him, all the tools are there with the aforementioned great length and explosive movement with the rock that he shows in spurts. A high-riser, he is still marinating a bit in the "between the ears" department as he both figures out what Coach Marshawn Hampton wants from him, but also as he finds his own way as a more complete player while exhibiting flashes of a D1-level type talent he can certainly become in a couple of years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436950' first='Peter' last='Julius'] | Mt Bethel | 2028

Playing with migraines and a sore jaw after a broken rim came swinging down at his home gym and cracked him in the face the night before, Julius still came out vs Johns Creek and showed off his fleet-footed and explosive work right around the cup. So much still on the development docket for this top 50 nationally ranked freshman, it'll be an exciting four years for those of us at Mt Bethel (I coach the varsity girls there for those that didn't know) to have the chance to watch his development up close, as others catch him and see the still raw yet exciting tools he displays around town in the winters and in the summers in travel circles.
