BlueChips Nation was at it again in November with a pop up event in Fairmont WV showcasing some of the state's top players in 2025, 2026 and even a couple 2027 classes. The workout directed by Ronnie Nuzum consisted of a rigorous 45 minutes warmup and workout that had everyone in a good sweat, followed by fast paced up and down action with 5v5 groups going at each other. These events are key in not only the BlueChips Nation brand but also for PrepHoops to get in person scouting done for individual players. Below is the list of 2025's attending and what we saw for each.

Fitzwater was his usual self, rebounds, putbacks and helping facilitate offense from high post and wing. What really stood out to me on this day was his willingness to run the floor and hit the right spots to post up and ask for the ball. Fitzwater has already been offered multiple times entering his senior year at GBC and likely to have a handful of others by season's end.

[player_tooltip player_id='1463045' first='Preston' last='Luzader']

Luzader, who is always physical and efficient was nothing short of that in the workout. He beats and bangs but always gets results. Preston is starting to get more comfortable off the ball and become more active without it in regards to knowing where to be and what to do. Luzader could be a deadly screen and roll guy at the next level as he shoots it from anywhere at a high percentage.

[player_tooltip player_id='1412065' first='Trevan' last='Bonner']

Bonner had a great day during the workout. Shot the ball well at all levels, has that ability to transition to a shooting guard from point guard without hesitation and most impressively knows when to do it. Bonner who's yet to be offered will certainly have an exceptional senior year and likely to have some suitors by March.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578731' first='Baustin' last='Bowers']

Bowers who gained some D3 interest after the last BlueChips event, looked to be in mid-season form. He was sharp with shooting, ball handling through traffic as well as handling bigger defenders off the bounce. Look for him to post big numbers night in and out during Liberty High School's farewell tour.

[player_tooltip player_id='2208827' first='Navi' last='Hewitt']

Hewitt who's known as one of the WV class of 2025's most athletic players and wings looked impressive during the workout. Looked to be in top physical shape and ready to go for this season. Hewitt has put in some extensive time in the weight room, shooting in the gym as well as ball handling and all of those things were very evident. Look for Hewitt to have several highlight reel moments during this school season as well as be South's top defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2304715' first='MJ' last='Patton']

[player_tooltip player_id='2304715' first='MJ' last='Patton'] is one of the more under-recruited guys in this class, however we think that's about to change. His school team which competes in the WVCAT league has an impressive roster and will certainly get a few college coaches interested. Patton is a true point guard who looks to facilitate and distribute first but has a quick trigger to shoot when necessary. Patton has a great first step to the hoop and a great understanding of when to use it.

[player_tooltip player_id='2528455' first='Levi' last='Wanless']

Wanless is a guy who's made good on every opportunity given and this workout was no different. Wanless is a relentless defender and downhill point guard who hits his spots with the ball, gets paint touches and makes sure scorers get the ball on time. Recently picking up some D3 interest, Levi will likely see some offers come his way in the next few months.

[player_tooltip player_id='2457787' first='Matthew' last='DeGroff']

DeGroff has shown some improvement since last seeing him in July. Body looks to be in shape and toned, feet are a bit quicker and Matt is overall more explosive. Matt scores various ways when needed but also fits right into a role player scenario and recognizes the work that needs done away from the ball. Starting to shape up as a high IQ player with a still developing offensive game, DeGroff will get most team's best defender through the school season and be able to elevate himself further. A promising 2025 player on the rise!

[player_tooltip player_id='2295581' first='Elijah' last='Pendleton']

Pendleton was one of the players on this list I was eager to watch in person for the first time and he didn't disappoint in the least. Eli has a great talent to getting in the lane and to the basket, has great overall guard skills and has potential to be a high level defender with his length at guard. An Alice Lloyd College offered senior, Pendleton has set himself up for success and likely more offers.
