Arizona Preps: Under the Radar Forwards

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>October 26th I attended the 26th annual&nbsp;<strong>Arizona Preps Fall Showcase.</strong>&nbsp;Director<strong>&nbsp;</strong><em><strong>Anthony Ray</strong>&nbsp;</em>had high school and prep teams going at it playing two games each at Inspire Courts in Gilbert, AZ.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here are some Under the Radar Forwards I viewed</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2279901' first='Myles' last='Swift'] North (Pictured)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long and super athletic power forward. He is an easy scorer around the basket and is an incredible second jumper. He has great length and is very twitchy and explosive. He uses his length to do reverse layups and dunks.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2298362' first='Bradley' last='Dyer'] Mesa Mountain View</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A strong showing for the burly forward. He scores it multiple ways with in traffic buckets with his football-like frame and transition points. He can crossover his defender and rise up from mid-range and shoot the three off the dribble. He looks more polished then last year. Stock up!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1595013' first='Seraphin' last='Iradukunda'] <strong>Camelback&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long and tall post player. He is a rebound chaser and will score on put backs. Once he grabs a tough rebound he can also score on fade aways with a defender draped over him using his size to his advantage. He will block a shot and then sprint the court and try gain position to go to work.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1986856' first='Justice' last='Moore'] AZ College Prep</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A tough undersized power forward is strong in the paint to score thru contact. He plays with a high motor to rebound in and out of his area. He is also a sneaky good passer and plays a pivotal role for them.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2107249' first='Reid' last='Hamati'] Chandler</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The long undersized power forward is kind of the specialist of the team. He shoots the the three with a nice shooting stroke. He can also score inside and rebounds well with his length. He plays a cerebral brand of ball and got the start in both games.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2432466' first='RJ' last='Detroy'] Arcadia</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A forward who can play both spots. He has plus post footwork inside to score and is more aggressive and looks a little taller than a year ago. He runs the floor for transition points and will be a spark off the bench and most likely get more minutes next season.   </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1369219' first='Luke' last='Danielson'] AZ Compass Prep</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A transfer by way of ALA Gilbert-North has extended his shooting range. He has as a strong frame to rebound and score inside but will hit the catch three at a higher clip now then last year. He rebounds well in his area using his physicality.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
