The 11th annual Myrtle Chaffin Classic took place this past weekend at Mt. Zion Academy, the unofficial start to the season for prep and independent teams from all over. This year's event featured teams from NJ, PA, MD, VA, GA and CA, with tons of talent from all over taking place.

The Commonwealth Basketball Group (CBG) has put together an All Tournament team, with players from all the teams being represented. Here's a look at the players selected from teams in NC and GA.

Triston McDonald | 6'2” PG | TSF '27 | First Team

While TSF had a rough going in their first EPL games going 0-3 on the weekend, McDonald showed a ton of promise as one of the youngest players in the prep league. The 6'2” guard is a talented and mature player who understands the game and is able to score the ball in a variety of ways. He can create space off the bounce and knock down contested shots from deep and in the midrange, he can move off the ball and make shots on the move, he has an excellent floater package and he's a crafty finisher at the rim too.

Denarius Roberts | 6'3” CG | QEA '25 | Second Team

Roberts was impressive on a QEA team that will be tough to matchup with come January, and he put up big numbers throughout the weekend. The 6'3” combo guard was aggressive off the bounce and used his strength and athleticism to finish through traffic or draw contact and get to the line often. He showed good footwork as a finisher, he made shots from multiple levels and with high degrees of difficulty and he was active on the defensive end as well.

Kouki Tateyama | 5'11” PG | TSF '25 | Honorable Mention

Tateyama was a difference maker throughout the event for TSF, as his ability to break down defenders off the bounce and get to the rim at will was very impressive. He has a very tight handle with good counters and change of speed, and for the most part he was able to get by his defenders with no ball screens relatively easily. He showed crafty finishing ability over bigger defenders, he made some shots from deep, he got to the line often and he made plays for others as well.

Carter Doyle | 6'7” F | TSF '25 | Honorable Mention

Doyle wasn't 100% coming into the event with a nagging ankle injury, but it was easy to see the impact that he'll have on this TSF team throughout the season. At 6'7” he's a versatile forward who can create mismatches with his blend of strength, athleticism and skill set. He showed he can play and guard different positions depending on the look they wanted to go with, he was very good working out of the high post area and used his strength to finish in traffic and he has a lot of upside moving forward as a prospect.

Nate Malosa | 6'8” C | QEA '25 | Honorable Mention

Malosa was fantastic for QEA, and despite the fact he wasn't their top scorer he did tons of positive things on the floor to help his team. As their only true big on the roster, Malosa played with a great motor and had to do a lot of things on both ends, but he kept flying around and running the floor every chance he got. He showed good athleticism as a shot blocker and finisher, he worked hard on the glass on both ends, he showed the ability to stretch the floor and he did all the little things to help his team win.

Andrew Dixon | 6'1” PG | Konnect Prep '25 | Honorable Mention

The former Mount Carmel star came back to the DMV with his Konnect Prep team, and he had a very impressive homecoming putting up some big numbers in their games. The 6'1” guard seems to have improved his consistency as a shooter, as he made some tough shots and showed the ability to create space to get into those shots off the bounce. He was good as an on ball defender and made plays in the press, he created shots for others and he scored it well from multiple levels.
