While we aren't familiar enough with the incoming freshman class to do a rankings list, we have seen quite a few talented up and coming players in the preseason to keep an eye on. Here's a short list of six freshman guards to keep an eye on for the up coming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2548185' first='Kelvin' last='Anderson'] | 6'2” CG | Catholic

Anderson has already showed in the preseason that he will be a vital piece for a talented Catholic team that is looking to make a deep run, and the fact that he doesn't look or play like a freshman is a big reason why. He's already very strong and exudes toughness as a big guard, he can handle and create space in isolation, he's a very good finisher and continues to improve his consistency as a shot maker as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2916372' first='Damien' last='Robinson'] | 5'11” PG | Landstown

Robinson has been playing summer and fall league with Landstown's varsity group since he was in seventh grade, and he's going to be looked at to be a leader in both production and vocally despite being just a freshman. He's in the midst of a growth spurt and likely has quite a few more inches left over the next few years, he plays with fire on both ends, he's a knock down shooter from deep and he can create for himself and others off the bounce.

Sintel Carlock | 5'9” PG | Bishop O'Connell

While Carlock is going to be behind some very talented older guards this year, he'll have a chance to learn and compete and already has a lot of tools that bold well for him moving forward. He's a lightning quick guard who can slash through the defense at will, he can make shots from multiple levels both on and off the ball, he's a very good on ball defender and he makes others on his team better too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2548192' first='Ty' last='Martin'] | 6'0” PG | Graham County

Martin may not be from a big area, but he showed a lot of promise when we saw him at the Prep Hoops Freshman Expo and he should be able to make an immediate impact for Graham as just a freshman. The 6'0” guard is smooth and crafty with the ball in his hands, he already knows how to change speeds and directions well, he can make shots from multiple levels and he's a high IQ guard on both ends of the floor.

Zikhee Dickerson Brown | 5'9” PG | Clover Hill

Dickerson Brown is another player who caught our eyes with his performance at the Expo, as he showed a lot of tools that bold well for him moving forward as he continues to grow. The 5'9” guard has long arms and legs which makes us think he still has quite a bit of growing to do, he has a lightning quick first step, he can touch the paint and score it at the rim and he plays with a great motor on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2918993' first='Sam' last='Nziengul'] | 5'11” PG | Tuscarora

Nziengul is another guard that we think will grow quite a bit, and he has a blend of athleticism and a base skillset that should make him very good in the next few years. The 5'11” guard has good speed with the ball in his hands in the open floor, he can knock down shots from deep when he's open, he brings great energy defensively and is a good rebounder for his size too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2918891' first='Legend' last='Bunch'] | 6'1” CG | King's Fork

Bunch is a player to keep an eye on as a freshman at King's Fork, as he'll have some older guards to learn from but is also so talented he'll find his way on the floor for big moments throughout the year. At 6'1” he's a shifty and quick guard who can break down defenders off the bounce, he has a mature game and a high IQ for his age, he can make shots from multiple levels and he is just scratching the surface with how good he can be.
