Day is a scorer at heart with a jumper that he can get hot with from behind the arc. When he does, he can and will score in bunches. He's your classic downhill guard that gets in and stays in attack mode. His balance and body control helps him make tough shots look easy and makes him a constant threat to score, even when in traffic. He's an engaged and active perimeter defender that uses his fast feet , defensive vision and quick hands to cause chaos and create turnovers. I've seen him go toe to toe and get stops against some top notch talent. Murphy uses angles and physicality to cut off dribble drives and force the ball out of his man's hands.
