<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over the weekend The EXPO: Illinois took place featuring a ton of ranked prospects and sleepers that emerged from the 2025 and 2026 classes.&nbsp; Here we examine the prospects that made an impression in <strong>Team 8 Standout Performers</strong>!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2617463' first='Yusuf' last='Saleh'] (Argo – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This Argo 6'1” combo guard is strong with the ball off the bounce.&nbsp; Good handle and can use hesitation to keep opponents off balance.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2617354' first='Angel' last='Araujo'] (Northtown – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Smaller guard at 5'8” who displayed a nifty finishing game around the hoop.&nbsp; Also had active hands on the defensive end getting steals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Aaron LaRoche-Dogbe (Jones – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Liked what we saw out of this 6'6” wing who brought big time athleticism to the table.&nbsp; Broad shouldered and long arms.&nbsp; Really excelled with his ability to get to the rim and score with reverse layups, scoop shots, and an array of acrobatic finishes.&nbsp; Like what he brought on the boards as a wing rebounder with solid size.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2617457' first='Travis' last='Marks III'] (Bolingbrook – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Marks is a 6'3” shooting guard that should be a nice piece in the rotation for Bolingbrook this year.&nbsp; It was his passing instincts that made the biggest impression on us.&nbsp; Threw great outlet passes, pushed in the open floor for dimes, and proved to be an excellent connector.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Ja'vion Thompson (Perspectives MSA – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thompson really bursts on our scene with a strong performance.&nbsp; The 6'5” forward has a good frame and plus athleticism.&nbsp; Pounded the glass.&nbsp; Sound wing defender who got after it on that end getting steals and taking them the other way for scores.&nbsp; Played well in the open floor.&nbsp; Mixed in a mid-range jumper.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2617393' first='Jace' last='Wilkinson'] (Collinsville – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wilkinson is a 6'0” combo guard is very skilled with his handle, shot making, and IQ for the game.&nbsp; He has some projectability to continue to grow with his long arms.&nbsp; Soft touch finishing game, sound shot maker from two and three, along with being able to make plays on his own including a nice shot fake/step through.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2617378' first='Darron' last='Greer Jr'] (Argo – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 6'4” small forward has a lot of physical tools that intrigue you.&nbsp; He hits the offensive glass for second chance points.&nbsp; Like how he attacks with burst and power to the rim.&nbsp; Decisive player when getting to the cup.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2617383' first='Donovan' last='Williams'] (Stevenson – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stevenson 6'0” combo guard that should find his way into the rotation for a solid Patriots squad.&nbsp; Puts it on the deck for straight line takes and flashed as a three point shooter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2617402' first='Jaylen' last='Ward'] (East Aurora – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ward is a smaller guard at 5'7” that used his quickness to get in the lane where he made plays for himself and others.&nbsp; Makes good decisions finding his teammates on the interior.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
