Team Oklahoma Showcase: 2026 and 2027 Spotlight

On Sunday night the Team Oklahoma organization held a workout for members of their team along with other prospects eager to get extra work in before the high school season takes off in earnest. An added bonus was a collection of around 10 college coaches from various JuCo, D2, and NAIA programs. From getting an extra look at seniors, to an intro to younger prospects, it was a strong collection of small town and 405 metro prospects.    Promising small town youngster, looked more fluid in his movements than he did during spring viewers. Legit size and huge wingspan. Looks ready to a be a waking double-double for small town Arnett. While also stepping out and hitting plenty of threes. Also getting close to the point that he should be playing stronger and dunking everything around the rim by springtime.     A productive freshman campaign, adding a little more height, stronger and quicker moves could have Litherland develop into one of the tougher covers in the mid-range this season. His body control was evident in the smoother stops for the mid-range, or his ability to elevate, hang and finish. Along with the scoring chops, has the background of being a coach's son. Giving him a good full understanding of the game. So should be able to impact winning even when his shot isn't falling.     One of the top shooters in the Class of 2027, now standing a legit 6 foot 3 and starting to move like an upperclassman. The growth spurt and physical maturity appear to give him more confidence with the ball. Along with defending during defensive drills. Excited to see how it translates for a McGuinness squad that has strong upperclassmen group but should have room for Park's role to grow from catch and shoot specialist into a complete scoring threat.     Young guard who caught the eye with some shiftiness, change of pace and of course hitting shots during drills. Will be stepping into a sixth man type role for the Wildcats, should be a good change of pace guard this year. Already starting to have a compact and strong build, will likely be a bruiser of a finisher down the road.     Raw but the upside is clear with the way the young wing ran the floor. Also has long arms and a frame that indicate that give him six to nine months, and he could be a monster athlete. Freshman year will likely be developmental, but has the physical profile to be a "where did he come from?" player.     Gaines showed guard skills during drills, especially with the way he shoots the ball. Like many incoming freshman still clearly growing into his lanky body. With an athletic family background, there's a strong indication that he will become much more fluid when he's done growing. Shooting, height and skill level should see him produce as a freshman, with an exciting upside down the road for the western Oklahoma standout.
