ORANGE — Gerry Freitas' annual SoCal Fall Prep Classic was held last weekend at Santiago Canyon College and featured many of the state's top programs and a handful of strong out-of-state teams from Utah and Arizona. Below we break down the top scorers we saw.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571744' first='Devin' last='Wright'] | 2025 | Redondo Union

Wright turned in a couple of impressive shooting performances that saw him knock down a barrage of three-point shots from all over the floor. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard has elite level consistency in catch-and-shoot situations with his balance and fundamental shooting mechanics and his strong base allows him to hit from well-beyond the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323693' first='Dominic' last='Bolton'] | 2025 | JSerra

Bolton was another dead-eye three-point shooter who, if given any time and space, has multiple spot and deep range consistency off the catch. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard showed the ability to get hot in a hurry and knocked down perimeter jumpers in bunches in both catch and shoot and off-movement situations.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571725' first='Gabe' last='Gutierrez'] | 2025 | Bakersfield Christian

Gutierrez fits the mold of a "three level scorer" because of his ability to generate and make shots from deep, mid-range and around the basket. The 5-foot-10 combo guard is an aggressive and confident prospect who is effective both on or off the ball. Gutierrez showed good speed and burst in transition and half-court offense which allowed him to get to the rim but he also flashed stop and pop and catch and shoot consistency on the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1164726' first='Jax' last='Allen'] | 2025 | Orem (UT)

Allen has great size for the position at 6-feet-4 and possesses elite jump shooting mechanics with range, consistency and a quick release. The senior is a marksman from behind the arc in catch and shoot and off-dribble situations but his size, ball handling ability and athleticism allow him to create scoring opportunities off the bounce, as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2435359' first='Jeremiah' last='Profit'] | 2027 | Temecula Valley

Profit is one of those prospects who comes out of the opening tip-off looking to get himself involved on the offensive end. The 6-foot-4 wing is a versatile scorer who is best as a slasher and finisher in open court and half-court offense but also knocks down catch and shoot three's and off-bounce mid-range jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2435361' first='Tavid' last='Johnson'] | 2027 | Francis Parker

Johnson is one of the smoothest scorers in Southern California regardless of class. The 6-foot-2 combo guard plays at his own pace, rarely gets sped up, and uses his footwork and change of speeds and direction to get to his scoring spots. Johnson fills up the scoring column in a variety of ways - mid-range jumpers, back to the basket finishes, drives, three's - any way imaginable.
