Season Preview: Basic Academy

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Culture and Identity </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Basic Academy is looking to have a big year after going 12-13 last year and just missing the playoffs. They have a few returning starters and also added one of the top 2026 players in the country, [player_tooltip player_id='1490283' first='Amare' last='Oba']. As the season has gotten closer, they have been working daily to build team chemistry. Their practices consist of a lot of competitive drills but they also bump music at max volume to help keep the guys loose. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the varsity fall league games that I have watched them play, they've shown that they are capable of beating their rivals. He can score from all three levels and uses his wingspan to snag a lot of rebounds. I also believe that he might be able to get 10 assists or 10 blocks in some games to complete the triple-double. I expect him to be a leading scorer this year for the Wolves and he may be up their in rebounding as well. His toughest duty will be defending some of the opposing teams better guards. He will be their starting point guard and is sure to rack up a few assists every game. He has a pure stroke and can hit from deep. However he is currently playing football, and will join the team once the football season is over. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Season Outlook</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's looking like Basic Academy will have a better season than last year. I think they have a pretty good chance to make the playoffs. How far they go will depend on how much chemistry they can build. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Final Analysis </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I like the Basic Academy roster more than I anticipated. They have size, athleticism and some shooters.
