Here are my Saturday standouts from the Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323613' first='Demarco' last='King'] (TF North) 2027

I consider King as one of the better guards of the class. He shows an incredible feel for the game with a good size of 6'2 and an advanced knowledge of the game. Demarco can score, pass, and rebound. He's shot the ball with confidence. A few times he was well off the three-point line. A major factor in King's game is his long arms. He is maybe one of the best rebounders for his position on both sides of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125627' first='Ethan' last='Vahl'] (Oswego) 2028

Vahl continues to be a show on his own. The freshman guard plays with high energy and high IQ. Ethan plays at a smooth pace in the open court and is a threat to make shots from anywhere on the court. In the second session of games he ran off many threes some from the second volleyball line near half-court. When his teammates ran the court well he threaded passes to them for layups. Vahl is considered one of the best players in the state for the 2028 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2632097' first='Alijah' last='Johnson'] (Oak Park- River Forest) 2028

A new big 2028 prospect has emerged on my radar. At 6'7 Alijah is a wide-bodied player with nimble feet and some handles. He dropped some dimes off while pushing the break. Johnson has the skill to play on the perimeter and in the post. Alijah is a prospect who can become a bigger prospect over time.

[player_tooltip player_id='2632093' first='Amari' last='Williams'] (Shepard) 2028

At 6'8 the big man showed incredible footwork and length around the basket. Amari has good instincts and is a springy post who is mobile for a forward. Williams looked solid as a rim protector and got his hands on several boards. He has all the tools to become a major prospect in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532358' first='Zaire' last='Green'] (Whitney Young) 2027

Green was a player who jumped on my radar with how well he shot the ball and how hard he played the whole game. He's 6'2 he has a muscular build and strong upper body. Zaire played with a motor on both ends. Playing with intense pressure on defense forced guys into bad turnovers. During the later stages of the game Green caught the ball on the wing, drove to the lane, and dunked it on his defender. The Dolphins continue to find players who can fill the void of the players who transferred out.

[player_tooltip player_id='2538631' first='Grant' last='Smith'] 6'4 (Lyons) 2028

Smith is a highly active wing player who turned heads with his two-handed slams and blocks. Grant has good timing in the passing lanes and at the rim. On offense he shot the ball well from three and even mixed in some tough mid-range shots. Smith is a young player who can add depth to Lyons varsity program.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125637' first='Jacob' last='Fuller'] 6'8 (Glenbrook South) 2027

Fuller is a player who has gotten better each time I've seen him. The mobile big man scores multiple ways on the court. Jacob has good touch on shots from around the rim. He's playing with a ton of confidence lately which should translate over to the school season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125658' first='Kendall' last='Meyers'] (Marist) 2027

Meyers is a versatile wing who showcased his handle and scoring ability on Saturday. At 6'4 he moves well on the wing. Playing his best while attacking the basket often and making tough passes on the move. Converts acrobatic plays at the rim. He will find a way to get some minutes on the varsity level because he's too talented.

[player_tooltip player_id='2542413' first='Alvin' last='Robinson'] (Lincoln Park) 2028

Haven't seen a lot of Alvin since June period. He is a slick guard with great length on the wing at 6'3. Robinson scored well from the three point line but is much more dangerous when slicing to the basket for layups. Has the capability to be a top ten prospect in the state.

Darius Hawkins (Homewood Flossmoor) 2028

Hawkins is known for his quick handles and ability to serve up assists after assists. During the games he scored at times effortlessly, getting deep in the lane, and finishing with both hands around the basket. An aspect of his game that he's becoming consistent at is his ball pressure. D-Hawk is giving opposing players fits by turning them several times with his footwork and constant movement with his hands.
