I was on hand at De La Salle all weekend for Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp. Here we examine Part 2 the best guards that he saw at the camp!

[player_tooltip player_id='2532031' first='Roosevelt' last='Thomas'] 6'2 De La Salle

Another physically imposing guard who attacks the rim multiple ways. "Duke" is one of the few guards who will go to the block to keep smaller defenders on his back and bully them in the paint. He took quite a few shots from three but was more effective scoring at the rim. Thomas was selected to play in the Top 25 game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531979' first='CJ' last='Pittman'] 5'11 Payton

Pittman is a control the pace type of guard. He was one of the few guards who didn't try to force the action. CJ's production came from ball screen action, simple plays like hitting the role guy, or knocking down shots if guys goes under the screens. He's a heady guard that understands the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2362360' first='Anfernee' last='Moore'] 6'3 Peoria Richwoods

Moore is a bigger guard who scored a lot using athleticism and strength to maneuver through guys. At his size he's more of a wing and not a forward. Moore has good basketball instincts and can assist and finish plays on fastbreaks. Underrated rebounder for his position.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532002' first='Jeremiah' last='Toney'] 6'0 St. Laurence

I was impressed with how well Toney competed on both ends of the court. He's an intense guard who has tremendous athletic ability. On offense he played with poise getting to the basket and finishing well. Made a few jump shots and also moved the ball well as a passer. On defense, he anticipates the ball in the air for steals in the passing lanes and has a nose for rebounds off the glass. Jeremiah is a jack-of-all-trades type of guard who has a chance to be special.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531964' first='Angelo' last='Adams'] 5'6 St. Rita

Adams is a smaller guard who didn't score as much but was used more as a setup guy. He attacked open gaps and set his teammates up for easier opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id='2816850' first='Davuan' last='Bates'] 5'10 De La Salle

Bates is a quick guard who scores frequently in transition. He shoots the ball well and has serviceable ball skills as a lead guard. Davuan has a good on-ball defense that could get him minutes on the court this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2528189' first='Joseph' last='Christian'] 6'0 Yorkville Christian

A very good athlete who showed more on defense than offensively. Joseph is an energetic guard who got a few blocks using his athleticism and block shots at the top of the release point. He shows a good wingspan for his size. Would like to see him more on offense with the understanding that it is difficult to get the ball in events like Pangos.
