We're going to be making preseason rankings for each of the Divisions ahead of the OHSAA basketball season. In this article we'll take a look at teams ranked 6th through 10th in our preseason top 10 for Division VII.

6. Minster

The MAC powerhouse is looking to make a deep playoff run on the gridiron this fall, but with the return of [player_tooltip player_id='1429557' first='Cole' last='Albers'] and Brogan Stephey, Minster fans should be excited about the possibility of a strong basketball season as well. Minster played a brutal schedule last season and finished 13-10, but I expect them to be much improved and have the potential to make a deep run.

7. Jackson Center

[player_tooltip player_id='1935950' first='Reed' last='Platfoot'], the Mount Vernon Nazarene commit, will lead the Tigers who went on a deep playoff run after an up and down regular season. Another 10 loss squad from a season prior, Jackson Center I believe will be back in the mix to compete for another regional title run and be near the top of the SCAL which is always tough with Russia, Anna and Botkins.

8. Tiffin Calvert

One of the most successful small school public programs over the past few seasons, Tiffin Calvert has been a consistent district title threat and has won 18 or more games every season since 2018-19. Gavin Wagner will look to lead the Senecas to regional action once again this winter.

9. Norwalk St Paul

After a 13-1 conference record got St Paul rolling last season, they took a disappointing playoff blowout loss to Mansfield Christian. With [player_tooltip player_id='2501024' first='Nolan' last='McCall'] back for his senior season, a conference and district title should be the goal for the Flyers.

10. Northside Christian

This team would be in the top 5 if Landon Vanderwalker was still around, but Northside Christian has a nice duo to build with in Davontrel Jackson and Josh Cook. This team has had a lot of success in central Ohio's Division IV region and with the new seven division format, they should be the team to beat in Columbus for Division VII.
