Byther, who had a terrific spring and summer with Black Bear North, has a chance to be one of the top players this winter in the MPA. A big, strong, two-way forward, Byther is a skilled player that doesn't mind doing the dirty work in the paint. A versatile forward that can score at all three levels and even shows the ability to create off the bounce, he's hard to guard when he gets downhill. He's a good athlete that has the ability to rebound in traffic and in space, often doing so at or above the rim. Offensively, he shows great pursuit of the ball on missed shots. Defensively, he does a good job of being athletic, utilizing his frame on quality box out, and just doing whatever it takes to get the basketball. He should be among the top rebounders in the MPA this winter and is a potential all-state selection for Old Town.

Munger, one of the VPA's biggest interior prospects, had a strong summer on the travel circuit. A high motor big man with a fair amount of skill, Munger poses a threat on both ends of the floor, inside and outside of the paint. With great positional size and long arms, he does a good job of making plays at or above the rim. He has the ability to put the ball on the floor for multiple bounces and can even knock down standstill threes. He's fundamentally sound and does a great job of carving out space for rebounds on both ends of the floor. He does a good job of holding his box outs, knows how to high point rebounds, and is able to rebound outside of his area. He should be a top performer on the glass in the VPA this winter and could lead BFA St. Albans on a deep playoff run.

O'Rourke, who should be among the NHIAA's top post prospects this winter, is an agile big man that does a good job of making an impact on both ends of the floor. A solid defender, O'Rourke continues to improve in all facets of the game. A skilled lefty that is able to space the floor, he does a great job of pursuing the basketball on the offensive glass. Not only does he have a nose for offensive rebounds, but he's an efficient finisher off those chances. He's a good vertical athlete that does a solid job of high pointing rebounds. He's a versatile defender that can guard multiple positions and rebounds at a high clip on that end of the floor. When you combine his athleticism, long arms, and willingness to be physical, he has a high ceiling as a rebounder. Few bigs in the NHIAA will be able to match his combination of size and versatility and he has a chance to be a star this winter at Bedford.

Butler, who was a stock riser in our latest rankings update, should be a dominant force this season in the CIAC. An elite athlete with a college ready frame, Butler can impact a game in a variety of ways with his combination of high motor, physicality, and skill. There are few, if any, prospects in the region with his combination of size and athleticism, allowing him to make an impact on the game in a variety of ways. He's a high level athlete thats capable of punishing the rim in transition and protecting it on the defensive end. He consistently plays hard, aggressively pursues the ball off the rim, and utilizes his athletic gifts to his benefit to grab boards above the rim. He does a great job of crashing the glass on both ends of the floor, rebounding in and out of his area and covering a lot of ground in the process. Wilbur Cross will go as far as he can take them this winter and the CIAC should be on notice.

Orleans, who had multiple strong showings this spring and summer, has a chance to be one of the MIAA's most productive post prospects this winter. A physically imposing big man, Orleans never takes a play off, has a nose for the basketball, and appears to get better with each passing month. He has a strong frame, isn't afraid to play physically, and is a plus athlete. While he can impact a game in a variety of ways as a scorer and versatile defender, his ability to control the glass stands out. He does a good job of boxing out big forwards and is impressive in his ability to outmaneuver quicker guards for loose, long rebounds. With his work rate and athleticism, he's a force on the boards on both ends of the floor. He should be a walking double-double threat for Attleboro this winter and could turn out to be one of the MIAA's best.
