We turn our attention back to Massachusetts, where four more prospects finalized their college plans last week.

These four, two from the NESPAC and two from the MIAA, area headed to a D1 in New York, an elite D3 in Massachusetts, one of the nation's service academies, and a D1 in Ohio.

Blackburn's recruitment came to an end when he announced that he will attend Binghamton University. A bigger guard that does a great job of moving without the basketball, Blackburn has a quick trigger and in-the-gym range on his jumper. He does a nice job of squaring up on the catch, has the ability to show and go off shot fakes, and is a crafty finisher around the rim. He's continued to improve with the ball in his hands and is able to create his own shot off the bounce. Defensively, his combination of size, athleticism, and physicality allows him to guard 2 through 4. He's also shown a willingness to take charges and give up his body for his team. Binghamton landed a quality commitment as Blackburn profiles as the type of big, shot making guard that could make an immediate impact in the America East.

Concemi came off the board when he announced that he will continue playing basketball at Babson College. At 6'8", Concemi is a versatile big man that makes high IQ plays on both ends of the floor. He's a good cutter, does a great job of moving the ball, and is capable of dragging bigger defenders out to the perimeter with his ability to knock down shots from behind the arc. He's a tough cover in ball screen actions, as he's equally capable of diving to the rim or popping into space. Defensively, he does a good job of moving his feet on the perimeter, has the positional size needed to offer rim protection in the paint, and does a good job of being physical on the glass. Babson scored early with Concemi, who looks to be the type of quality, young big man that could eventually be an all-league performer in the NEWMAC.

Gaffney put an end to his recruitment with a commitment to the United States Naval Academy. A prospect that drastically improved his stock this summer, Gaffney was one of the most impressive performers in the Hoop Group Showcase League. A shot maker and shot creator, he does a terrific job of running an offense. He's gritty, tough, and not afraid of the big moments. He's a tough scorer in the mid-range, has the ball on a string off the bounce, and can really push the pace in transition. Defensively, he's ultra competitive, does a great job of guarding at the point of attack, and is an impressive positional rebounder. Navy secured their lead guard of the future and a prospect that has the skillset and competitive fire to grow into one of the top guards in the Patriot League.

Swider finalized his college plans with a commitment to Youngstown State University. We've covered Swider a lot lately, as his play this summer made him one of the region's stock risers. He's a big combo forward that can really shoot the basketball, but has also recently started to show more of a scoring game off the bounce. He's super long, has a good feel for the game on the offensive end of the floor, and knows how to pick his spots as a scorer. Defensively, he continues to get stronger, allowing him to guard on the perimeter and in the paint. He also does a good job of using his length to his advantage as an on-ball defender, rebounder, and rim protector. Swider is a good early commit for Youngstown State as the long, versatile forward should only continue to get better and could eventually become one of the better floor spacing forwards in the Horizon League.
