Shane had a dynamic weekend as he is a young emerging prospect with a lot of potential. He showed his ability to be a high-volume scorer who can score in a multiplicity of ways. He is really good at getting to the cup off the bounce and scoring in the paint or at the rim. To get right down to it, he was one of the best scorers in his age group, and it would be tough to find someone who matched his scoring prowess. Now, as much of a young talent as he is, he showed behavior that could raise concern if not put in check early. He has to learn to let his game be his voice.

He handled the ball well and was fully in control of the pace of the game, with his ability to accelerate the tempo and then slow it down at will. He plays the game low, making containing him off the bounce very difficult. Darion is a caliber player whose presence on the floor makes his team's offensive efficiency skyrocket. He has good vision and passing skills and keeps his teammates happy with his ability to distribute the rock. He has a budding PG IQ and is a player whose development I will keep an eye on.
