Marcellous displayed the poise, vision, and decision-making of a true floor general. He initiates the offense with purpose, sees the floor, and consistently looks to make the right read. Instead of attempting to turn every possession into a highlight, he allows the action to develop, takes care of the ball, and puts his teammates in positions to be successful. That type of approach creates trust because the offense can maintain its structure when the ball is in his hands. He also showed comfort operating in the middle game as his midrange touch gives him a scoring counter when defenders play underneath screens, take away the rim or remain attached to perimeter shooters. What stood out most about Marcellous game was his command of the possession and his understanding of when to organize, when to attack, and when to make the simple pass. His PG IQ, ball security, and feel for the game gives him a strong foundation to become a dependable lead guard.
