Today, we continue our positional breakdown for the Class of 2027 continues with a look at some of the most impactful Power Forwards in New England.

[player_tooltip player_id='2470911' first='Logan' last='Lang'] holds the top spot in this update and checks in at #10 overall in New England. An athletic prospect that has an inside-out skill set, Lang makes an impact on the game with his scoring, rebounding, decision making, and versatility.

Beyond that, this is an impressive and deep group of prospects that features a number of individuals that could have breakout seasons this winter!

Take a look at five Power Forwards to watch from the Class of 2027:

Lockett, who had a terrific summer with Team Spartans, heads to MacDuffie after making a name for himself last winter in the MIAA. A big combo forward, Locket is a terror in transition and already makes highlight real plays way above the rim. He has great positional size and impressive length on the wing and profiles as a prospect that, long term, may profile as a big wing with his perimeter skillset. He's a capable perimeter shooter that seems to improve his jumper each time out and is equally skilled off the ball and with it in his hands. He has a high defensive ceiling due to his willingness to rebound and ability to protect the rim from the help side. He earned his first scholarship offer this summer and is a prospect that will continue to be on the D1 radar going forward.

Robinson, who heads to Brimmer & May after a successful first season at Newton South, is one of the more athletic forwards in this class. A bouncy athlete, Robinson plays with a high motor that allows him to make a serious impact on the glass and around the rim. He's a terrific shot blocker, both on the ball in the post and while chasing opponents down in transition. He got noticably stronger this summer and utilized those gains to make a big impact on the glass. Offensively, he does a great job of rim running in transition, finishes through contact in the paint, and can even step out and knock down standstill threes. He's a prospect that is brimming with potential and should only continue to improve against a higher level of competition in the NEPSAC.

Gedroge made his way to New England from the United Kingdom this fall and instantly popped on the radar as a prospect to watch. A big man with the ability to stretch the floor, Gedroge will look to make his mark this winter at Kents Hill. An above the rim athlete that has a solid frame and the strength to make plays through contact in the paint, he stands out with his ability to consistently make shots from behind the arc. He has a quick and compact release and the size to get his jumper off against most defenders. He does a good job out of the trailer position in transition and isn't afraid to put the ball on the floor to get to the rim. He also is a quality rim protector that can initiate the break off of his own defensive rebounds. He's a prospect that should be on the radar of scholarship schools this winter and has a chance to rise up the rankings in the future.

Hoffman, a rugged forward at Avon Old Farms, made waves last winter by earning NEPSAC minutes as a freshman. A high academic prospect, Hoffman is a mobile forward that plays with a high motor and seems to get better with each passing month. He's able to operate as an initiator in the high post, creating for himself and others off of hand offs and drives. He's a crafty finisher around the rim with good touch and surprising mobility. He's a physical rebounder on both ends of the floor that has quality hands, a big catch radius, and good footwork. Defensively, he does a good job of walling up in the post, moves his feet when switched onto the perimeter, and rebounds with authority by the rim. He should play a big role in his team's success this winter and profiles as a prospect that NESCAC and other high academic programs will want to track moving forward.

Yalamanchili, a stretch forward at Worcester Academy, made a name for himself this summer at NERR's Frosh/Soph Elite 75. He makes an impact on the game on both ends of the floor with his effort and intelligence. Yalamanchili provides some serious scoring punch from the perimeter and proved this summer to be capable of making tough shots off the catch from behind the arc. He's a good cutter that can finish with either hand at the rim and even showed the ability to make plays for others off the bounce. Defensively, he has some versatility and utilizes his length to guard both on the perimeter and in the paint. He should be able to carve out a role this winter at Worcester Academy and profiles as the type of prospect that will only continue to improve with more experience and added strength.
