The upcoming high school season is around the corner as October has just started. The 2027 class is looking to make its mark on the hardwood this season, especially in Non-Public B. Here are the 2027 Non-Public B prospects who could breakout this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2201964' first='Elijah' last='Caldwell'], 5'6 PG St. Mary's Rutherford

Caldwell has the opportunity to breakout this season as he gets more touches on the offensive end. The 5'6 guard is a blur in the open floor as opponents struggle to stay with him as he gets to his spot on the floor. Caldwell can finish in a number of ways around the basket and finds his open teammates in the halfcourt. He has a good handle and uses his quick hands to get deflections on the defensive end. Caldwell is a speedy guard prospect whose ability to run the offense effectively will help his stock throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2344526' first='MJ' last='Jarrell'], 6'2 CG Morristown-Beard

Jarrell led the way for the Crimson last season and should do so again in his sophomore campaign. The 6'2 guard has a quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and finishes nicely around the basket. Jarrell can also score in the mid-range and has a good release on his jumper. He is a solid rebounder and is an underrated defender. Jarrell had a pair of 30-point games last season and should eclipse that mark in 2024-25.

[player_tooltip player_id='2344528' first='Jamal' last='Dixon'], 6'0 CG Gill St. Bernard's

Dixon had a solid debut varsity season and should take a step up in 2024-25. The 6'0 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get by his defender off the bounce and can draw contact around the basket. Dixon can also score in the mid-range and rarely forces jumpers in the halfcourt. He is an underrated passer and works hard on the defensive end. Dixon is a gritty guard prospect whose ability to make plays at both ends of the floor will help his stock throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2504905' first='Gary' last='Jennings'], 5'10 PG Princeton Day

Jennings made an impact during his first varsity season and should only get better in his sophomore campaign. The 5'10 guard attacks the basket with a purpose and can finish through contact. Jennings is more than just a slasher as he sets his feet before he shoots and wastes little motion in his release. He has the ability to play off the ball as well and plays with good anticipation on the defensive end. Jennings will have the ball in his hands more this season, which will help his development in a big way.

[player_tooltip player_id='2465081' first='Andrew' last='Mardahaev'], 6'1 SG Ranney

Mardahaev should take a big step up this season as he will get more playing time. The 6'1 guard has a good shooting stroke on his jumper and wastes little motion in his release. Mardahaev moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the halfcourt. He works for rebounds on both ends of the floor and rarely forces jumpers in the halfcourt. Mardahaev's ability to stretch the floor is something that will help his stock throughout the course of the season.
