We've seen a handful of guard prospects pull the trigger early on their college commitments. With their eyes on the early signing period, these prospects have gotten this important decision out of the way which will allow them to focus on basketball and school during their senior year. Below we give some quick breakdowns of what each college program is getting in the forward/center they have committed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630644' first='Blake' last='Davidson'] | Mater Dei | 2025 | Committed: Nevada

Davidson has turned himself in to one of the best big men passers we have in Southern California. The 6-foot-9 forward/center finds cutters out of the low and high post spots, draws doubles and kicks to open shooters and simply makes the right play on each possession with his combination of basketball IQ and vision. He will head to Reno next fall where his brother, Nick, is currently a redshirt junior.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956520' first='Brayden' last='Kyman'] | Santa Margarita | 2026 | Committed: Washington State

Kyman is the lone 2026 commit so far and he will keep the family ties as the 6-foot-8 forward joins coach David Riley as he takes over at Washington State. Kyman's older brother, Jake, played his final season of college ball under Riley at Eastern Washington and Brayden has some similarities to his brother on the court - mainly his ability to knock down open three-point shots. Kyman is a skilled face-up style four man with a good feel for the game and should fit in nicely with Riley's offensive scheme.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630630' first='Dallas' last='Washington'] | Santa Margarita | 2025 | Committed: Long Beach State

This could be a good fit and level for Washington who has shown flashes of offensive versatility throughout his tenure at Santa Margarita. The 6-foot-9 forward has pick-and-pop three-point shooting ability, the ball skills and athleticism to attack closeouts and finish at the rim and, over the course of our fall viewings of him, he's increased his willingness to go down to the block and create mismatches in the painted area.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630667' first='Nate' last='Garcia'] | Damien | 2025 | Committed: Cal Baptist

Garcia is one of the most dominant forces in all of SoCal high school basketball because of his size. Garcia is a legitimate 7-footer with a bruising 260-plus pound frame that allows him to do pretty much whatever he wants in the paint at the high school level. It will be interesting to see how Cal Baptist builds its roster around such a specific type of player as Garcia is more of a traditional, back to the basket presence who needs paint touches to apply his true impact.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630640' first='Peyton' last='White'] | Crespi | 2025 | Committed: Nevada

White as one of the biggest stock-raisers among 2025 prospects this spring and summer as his basketball skill rose to the level of his basketball IQ, physicality and athleticism. The 6-foot-6 forward is a springy two-footed jumper with a frame that allows him to be a bruising finisher around the basket. Nevada is getting a prospect who plays hard, plays the right way and has improved his perimeter offensive skill-set over the last few seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630627' first='Tae' last='Simmons'] | Heritage Christian | 2025 | Committed: San Diego State

Simmons is one of the more physically and athletically gifted prospects in the region, and while his bread and butter as a player is his interior scoring, rebounding and defensive capabilities, he has shown flashes of improved perimeter shooting from mid-range and out to the three-point line. Simmons should be a seamless fit into the Aztecs system on both ends of the floor.
