Summer Summary

Breck wasn't just the Class AA champ last year, they were one of the top three or four most talented teams in all of Minnesota high school basketball. So what's next? With three starters returning in [player_tooltip player_id='1560864' first='JP' last='Musoke'], DeAngelo Dungey and [player_tooltip player_id='1574225' first='Miles' last='Newton'] plus a few reserves, Breck will once again be a title contender. And [player_tooltip player_id='1574225' first='Miles' last='Newton'] will be one of the top players in all of Class AA.

So will Breck easily get to state? No. But odds are heavily in their favor, but it's not going to be easy.

Section 5AA has a dozen teams that are going to battle one another to the final buzzer and while that starts with Breck, Southwest Christian and Blake are teams that return most of their talent. The Stars in fact not only have most of their talent back, they have a lot of up and comers. North and MCA are teams that graduated key players but have another wave coming, and then there is a herd of teams including Jordan, Rockford, Watertown-Mayer, HLWW and Hiawatha Collegiate who should all be improved.
