The two state champions looked as if they were in mid-season form during The Expo. [player_tooltip player_id='1560448' first='Jalen' last='Brown'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1347266' first='Preston' last='Sanders'] were getting to their spots, making plays in the half court, and finishing in transition. They played very well in Baton Rouge. [player_tooltip player_id='1275303' first='Jordan' last='Matthews'] displayed his prowess as one of the top point guards in the state. His mid-range game was very effective. [player_tooltip player_id='1492960' first='Kane' last='Broussard'] was very good at scoring in the paint using great footwork and touch around the rim. [player_tooltip player_id='1601451' first='Kobe' last='Butler'] played a man amongst boys. His rim protection and dunks were powerful and skillful at the same time. [player_tooltip player_id='2130462' first='Rashad' last='Stevenson'] was the new guy on the scene. His ability to get to the rim and finish was very refreshing to see.

[player_tooltip player_id='1545999' first='Kelinee' last='Stone'] was already a very good perimeter shooter. At The Expo, he displayed the wherewithal to score over both shoulders. Ethan Hayes was an unknown factor but fit right in. The New Jersey guard forced action when he needed to and drill outside shots with a feathery touch. [player_tooltip player_id='1639715' first='Michael' last='Ducre'] had his mid-range game working and showed his vertical while attempting them on numerous occasions. [player_tooltip player_id='2532473' first='Jerren' last='Pugh'] was an excellent finisher in transition while showing his defensive skills on the other end. [player_tooltip player_id='2132646' first='Levon' last='Gipson'] IV made The Expo his coming out party. He is good at scoring in the half court facing the basket or posting up. [player_tooltip player_id='1543647' first='Cooper' last='Nelson'], whether in the open court or half court, passed players open while making jumpers when he found himself uncovered.

There were a ton of guards who attended The Expo. The state of Louisiana is rich with small guard talent. Look for these guards, and others, to attend the remaining camps and showcases the state has coming up in September.
