Prep Hoops Indiana “The Expo” – Team 7 Evaluations

Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops. We've been able to flex our muscles here in the month of September hosting three outstanding events featuring well over 300 prospects from across the Hoosier state. First, it was our annual Freshman Showcase and newly formed Sophomore ID Camp that we hosted back on Sunday, September 8th. Both events were a massive success. Then, on Sunday, September 22nd we hosted “The Expo” which featured juniors and seniors looking to gain exposure in front of college coaches. As always, our scouting staff will be releasing team-by-team evaluations highlighting every single prospect in attendance. The quick, shifty playmaker made several sharp passes and pushed the pace at times in the open floor. I came away very impressed with his quick handles as well as his quick decision-making on the offensive end while remaining cool under pressure. He also showed that he can knock down the deep ball as well at The Expo. Look for Blount to be a solid depth piece in the Panthers' backcourt this season.     Soots is a smaller junior guard out of Covenant Christian High School that was in attendance at The Expo on Sunday. I thought he displayed solid ball handling ability and was making plays in transition throughout the event. His best move that he showed was easily his floater that he successfully connected on quite a bit to finish over size. in the paint. An under-the-radar junior guard to keep an eye on.     Henchon is an under-the-radar 2026 guard out of Harrison (Lafayette) High School. He has a little bit of a combo guard playing style that he pairs well with his positional size and length. The 6'2" guard is very bouncy and likes to help in the rebounding efforts from the perimeter. Henchon had a quick first step off the wing and would attack the defense consistently in the lane. Overall, it was a strong showing at The Expo.     Glenn is a 6'1" lead guard out of Southport High School. He was one of the more naturally strong and quick point guards we saw at The Expo on Sunday. His willingness to go in the paint and rebound stood out from the perimeter while also displaying a high vertical and some explosiveness. Glenn hit a few deep three-point shots on the day as well. Should be a key player in the backcourt of Southport this season.     Ward, a 6'1" guard out of South Ripley High School, certainly made a case as the best player on Team 8. He was certainly one of the most effective shooters at The Expo as he was making shots behind the arc at a high level in both 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 play. Having seen Ward multiple times, I am always impressed with his ability to work off the ball to find a free look for his smooth jumper. He looks to have gotten stronger too which will really help South Ripley this upcoming season.     At an impressive 6'5", Lomax was easily one of the bigger, more physically impressive wings we saw at The Expo. The wing out of Brownsburg High School was super aggressive offensively finding many open shots and opportunities to use his athleticism to attack the rim. He is a very springy guard that can mix it up in the post as well due to his size and athleticism. He was also a threat in the transition game for Team 8 playing well above the rim. Lomax is really starting to come into his own and has a chance for a breakout senior season.
