PH Texas Sophomore Showcase Camp Team 7 Standouts

Was shifty with the ball and that led to him scoring a lot of pull-up jumpers with the crossover. A good finisher at the rim and made many tough layups. He can shoot the three and had a nice float game going to the rim. He was good at scoring around the rim making many touch shots and layups on defenders. Had a quick first step and used his length to rise over defenders. Made a lot of good passes from the perimeter. Maurius played with a good IQ and knew when to get his teammates involved or when he needed to go score. He scored a lot of points from threes and off the dribble pull-up jumpers. He was good at spacing out the floor which is how he was able to get open to knock down a lot of his threes. He was quick and fast with the ball which led to him being able to go by defenders to facilitate or score. Has good handles and breaks down defenses with his ability to read what is happening on the court. He also has a good floater and mid-range shot knocking down a lot during the showcase. Made all the right passes to help the offense flow or set his teammates up. Was good at driving in and finding the open man any time the defense collapsed on him. Has the ability to shoot over defenders, and make tough finishes. Also has good athleticism as he used it to disrupt players on defense and had a few dunks. Was hustling for loose balls and played aggressive defense. He used his speed to his advantage on both ends of the floor speeding past defenders when dribbling the ball. He was hard to guard in transition and was a threat to take the ball coast to coast and score.
