PH Expo: Team 6 Evaluations

There was an unmatched depth of talent at the event and was a place for college coaches to find all sorts of talent. To start off, I was very impressed with his ability to shoot the ball. He hit a triple off the bounce and also hit a contested 3 pointer. Vanderhaag was also able to create space in traffic, get off a mid range jumper and hit it. The highlight for me was seeing that he was a willing defender that used quick feet on D to create issues for opposing ball handlers. Stansberry could force the ball out of his man's hands with ball pressure. I really liked the speed and pace he was able to play with. It actually wasn't that he played with pace, but often times he created that pace. Strong pushed the ball off the bounce immediately off rebounds. He could also pressure at half court that caused turnovers and created pace that turned into points. He has a next level frame and the power to go with it. Calhoun made multiple power moves and finished them with touch around the rim. He also showed off a spin move that he used to lose a defender and finish with a high percentage look at the rim. He was tough and physical on the defensive end. Eack had a nice steal that he turned into instant offense on the other end with a finish off the high glass. I was very impressed with his work off the ball. He was gritty and tough, especially around the rim. Sucura was very active on the glass, both offensively and defensively. Allen proved that on Saturday. Let's start with his passing. Allen hit pinpoint passes both in the half court and while on the move in transition. He showed a much more diverse game where he doesn't rely as much on his jumper. Allen consistently attacked the rim off the bounce and finished with a bucket.
