The 2024 Pangos All-West Frosh/Soph Camp is in the books. NorCal had good representation. Of the approximate 160 campers, we had 23 prospects that competed against quality competition all weekend with 3 camp games. Prospects from Arizona, Las Vegas, and a heavy contingent of SoCal Prospects. 3 played their way into the Top 30 game, while 9 other participated the Top 60 Contest. Two other players who we thought played good basketball over the weekend didn't play in the 60 or 30 game. We'll add them to our top players list for this article.

The muscular guard from Sacramento and NorCal's top guard in the 2027 Class played 3 solid games before turning it up a notch in the Top 30 game. He continues to advance his point guard skills, while getting buckets. The athleticism, decision making, and willingness to facilitate are on track. He can score in all 3 phases of the game, strong drives absorbing contact, pulling up off the dribble for mid-range jumpers, knocking down open 3's. He's a top notch defender able to lock down. He'll use his hops to get rebounds, and dunks. 13pts, multiple steals, multiple dunks, in the final game. He's settling into his game.

Not much separates 1 from 2 in the NorCal 2027 Ranking. Gray was up to his consistent play throughout the event. Dropping dimes with pinpoint passing and accuracy a guard needs to facilitate. He's continues to sharpen his overall guard skills while involving others. He's getting his buckets in different ways from different areas on the court. He's bringing tenacity on the defensive side of the ball. Pretty sure he averaged double figures in the 3 camp games. High IQ.

The long wiry forward makes his case as to why he should be the #1 prospect in NorCal Class of 2028 Rankings. He's a long wiry prospect with exceptional play around the rim, for 3 camp games. He was the only player in the 2028 NorCal class to make the Top 30 game. He'll change, and block shots, along with rebounding and scoring at a high percentage in the paint. He did some handling in transition. He's got plenty to grow his game.

In this type of setting you can play good basketball and not play in the top two games. That's was French. He played consistent basketball in the three camp games we watched. He's a multi-positional player who's game continues to evolve. At 6'4 he showed an ability to facilitate in this setting, running the point in the half-court, pushing and passing up in transition. He used his dribble to take on defenders driving into the paint, he pulled up for mid-range jumpers, and dropped an occasional 3ptr. He defends multiple positions, boxes out for rebounds. He's playing good basketball.

He was like a conductor in the 3 camp games we watched. He controlled pace, made good decisions with the ball, involved his bigs, and shooters, spotted cutters. The lefty used his handles, and slick moves to change directions while penetrating the paint for left and right hand finishes, along with floaters. He dropped long range 3's throughout the camp. He came close to 30pts in one game.
