Freshmen Showcase 4th Team Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Saturday&nbsp;<strong>Prep Hoops Arizona</strong>&nbsp;had the 2nd annual&nbsp;<strong>Freshman Showcase</strong>&nbsp;which was hosted at Inspire Courts in Gilbert, AZ. We had right around 80 incoming freshmen who were competing in a few games of 3 on 3 followed by the regular 5 on 5 setting.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here were the 4th Team Standouts</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2457855' first='Lucas' last='Alvarado'] <strong>Pinnacle</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A good sized shooting guard handles it well in the open court. He can hit shots from the perimeter from both levels and he is a good defender on the ball. He has a euro game to the basket and defends multiple positions with a high feel for the game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2352307' first='Trae' last='Gaines'] <strong>Safford</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring defensive guard can fill it up with off the dribble threes and catch and shoot. He is a long guard who gets to the rim and score on offensive rebound put backs with his strong frame. He is a very good defender on and off the ball. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2552782' first='Jaiden' last='Hong'] <strong>Chaparral</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A guard who is tough as anyone in attendance. He is undersized but will take contact in the paint after he bursts to the basket. He can hit shots off the dribble from the three or catch. He has quick hands to collect steals and he can get hot quickly and make a bunch of threes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2452472' first='Zechariah' last='Haslerig']</strong> <strong>Parardise Honors (Pictured)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long and lean point guard is a natural scorer from all three levels. The lefty has a nice stroke from mid to the three and is aggressive to the rim. He is great on the break with elusiveness and a nice handle.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2560324' first='Marcus' last='McCaster Jr'] <strong>Phhoenix Prep</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A strong framed guard can play on or off the ball. He can get downhill with his strong body. He can hit the catch three and get hot quickly. He will get to the free throw line with his build and rebounds well. He will drive and kick it to a teammate and he is a tough cover when he is rolling.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2552785' first='Joshua' last='Polk'] <strong>San Tan Charter</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A super long wing takes long strides to score with either hand. He blocks shots in his area and rebounds well in and out. He will alter many and can score in transition with his fluidity. Once he fills in and gets stronger, watch out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2552769' first='Izaiah' last='Rawlings'] <strong>Apollo</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A dynamic scoring point guard is an electric scorer. He will go on his own personal runs with back to back triples off the dribble or off the pull. He has a very shifty handle and has speed to burn in the open court. He is already affecting the varsity team when he gets into the game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
