1.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1381412' first='Davis' last='Kern'] (Linn-Mar) -- 22.7 points per game

The future South Dakota State forward is one of the most dynamic three-level scoring threats that we've seen in several years. A 6-8 big man who can take his defender onto the block and score with great footwork and deft touch or step out and knock down 3s with regularity, he's a versatile do-it-all offensive weapon who is a matchup nightmare at this level. He posted 57-45-80 shooting splits as a junior and will be even better as a senior for the Lions.

2.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1288891' first='Bode' last='Goodman'] (Waukee Northwest) -- 20.6*

Goodman played his first three high school seasons at Southeast Polk before deciding to transfer to Northwest for his senior year. He's a 6-0/6-1 guard with great handles, athleticism, and he does a nice job playing with pace, changing speeds to help get by defenders. He's a streaky shooter, but once he knocks down a few, he's really difficult to slow down. On a Wolves team that will be among the best in 4A this season, he may not average 20 a game again, but his efficiency numbers should improve.

3.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1381413' first='Jahlil' last='Manago'] (Waterloo West) -- 19.2

Manago enjoyed a breakout junior year for the Wahawks, leading the team in scoring, rebounding (7.8), assists (3.5), and steals (1.4). He's a great athlete with a fantastic first step that he uses to blow by defenders, and he has really improved as a shooting threat both off the dribble and the catch, knocking down just under 35% of his 3-point attempts last season.

4.) 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1765539' first='Max' last='Roach'] (Waukee) -- 18.4*

Roach played his first two seasons at Oskaloosa and is transferring up to Waukee for his last two seasons, so it will be interesting to see how going from the Little Hawkeye to the best league in the state will go for the skilled guard. He's a really good ball-handler who seemingly has the ball on a string, and he has great body control around the rim, finishing around and through contact. He's an adept shooter off the dribble and is a skilled playmaker.

5.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1951797' first='Trae' last='Brown'] (Ottumwa) -- 17.7

Brown is a big-bodied, strong, and physical wing who can play with both power and finesse. He was great for the Bulldogs as a junior, leading the team in scoring and rebounding (8.0) while ranking second in assists (2.7) and steals (1.9). He's a really good shooter from 3-point range, knocking down 42.9% of his shots from distance last season, but he prefers to use his strength and physicality to get to the rim or to his spots in the mid-range.

6.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1759932' first='Reed' last='Strohmeyer'] (Hempstead) -- 16.5

Strohmeyer stepped up and provided the Mustangs with some much-needed scoring as a junior, the only player who averaged in double-figures. A 6-3 wing who can score from all three levels, he shot over 35% from 3-point range and can get to the bucket where he's an adept finisher through contact.

7.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1381414' first='Jack' last='McCaffery'] (Iowa City West) -- 16.2

A highly skilled 6-8 wing who can score inside and out, McCaffery will play his college ball for Thad Matta at Butler next season, where he'll provide the Bulldogs with a high-level offensive weapon who can do a little bit of everything. He has a high IQ and knows how to get to his spots in the mid-range, on the perimeter, and has the footwork and touch to post up smaller defenders and punish them.

8.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1381403' first='Creighton' last='Bracker'] (Council Bluffs Lincoln) -- 14.7

A 6-7 forward with soft hands, good footwork, and great touch around the bucket, Bracker was second on the Lynx in scoring last season and will be the focal point of the offensive attack as a senior. He's the type of skilled big who is a willing passer out of the block, making it difficult to send a double team his way, and when he gets single coverage, he's tough to slow down.

9.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1288899' first='Xzavion' last='Robinson'] (Valley) -- 14.7

Robinson is one of the state's elite athletes, a future Iowa State receiver who could've been a Division I basketball player if he had decided to go that route. His blend of ball-handling, explosive first step, shooting, and body control around the rim make him a dynamic three-level scoring threat who can take over games as both a scorer and playmaker off the dribble. Following the transfers of starters [player_tooltip player_id='1759897' first='Kyle' last='Cason'] (Dallas Center-Grimes) and Curtis Stinson Jr (Western Reserve Academy), even more shot opportunities will be available for Robinson as a senior.

10.) 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1172887' first='Tevin' last='Schultz'] (Senior) -- 14.5

Schultz is one of the top juniors in the state, a big and skilled 6-8 forward who can score inside and out in bunches. He posted 60-35-71 shooting splits as a sophomore for the Rams, and his versatility as a scoring threat makes him really difficult to defend with his size.
