Expert Analysis
Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
A lead guard with great size at 6-5, Manago is one of the best rebounding guards in the state and he showcased that throughout the afternoon on Saturday. He loves to compete against the bigger bodies in the paint, and he’s always a threat to take it coast-to-coast after pulling down a defensive board. He finishes really well through contact at the rim with either hand, and it looks like he has continued to put work into his jumper, routinely knocking down shots from the mid-range and distance off both the dribble and the catch.

A lead guard with good size at 6-3, Manago is able to put constant pressure on opposing defenses with his combination of ball-handling, quickness, and physicality. He’s great on the glass from his guard position, pulling down 5.8 rebounds a game as a sophomore. He’s at his best offensively when he’s attacking the rim and getting the defense to collapse. He’ll need to continue to work on his jumper after shooting under 26% from 3 last season, but there are a lot of tools here to work with and a really nice frame to continue building on.

Manago jumps off the page, sort to speak, when you watch this group play. He’s incredibly long and a great athlete, and he uses those attributes to his advantage on both ends of the floor. He’s really good on the glass and is a good enough ball-handler and decision-maker to lead the break after pulling down a defensive rebound. He has a huge wingspan that he uses to really bother opposing ball-handlers, and he moves his feet well when playing on-ball defense. On the offensive end, he can play with or without the ball in his hands, cutting hard when operating off the ball, and getting his teammates involved at a high clip when he’s initiating the offense.
