<p>Roach dished out 5.1 assists a game as a sophomore at 3A Oskaloosa, and will bring his court vision, ball-handling, and playmaking up to Waukee for the next two years, pacing the Warriors' offensive attack. He's a skilled, creative passer who should see his turnover numbers drop playing alongside more talented players this season as well.</p>

<p>The son of Kennedy coach Jon, and future player for uncle Brooks at Upper Iowa, Trey is one of the most talented lead guards in the state, regardless of class. He's a tough guard who embraces contact, uses his speed to his advantage, and he has tremendous court vision that he uses to get his teammates involved and put them in positions to succeed. He averaged 13.3 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.7 steals a game as a junior while posting a 2.51 assist-to-turnover ratio.</p>

<p><strong>3.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1759907' first='Tate' last='Perrin'] (Dallas Center-Grimes) -- 99</strong></p>

<p>Perrin is the next in a long line of skilled DCG lead guards who does a great job playing his role as a pass-first guard who loves to set up the offense and get his teammates involved. He isn't a big scorer, averaging 6.0 points a game as a junior, but he does a great job protecting the ball (3.54 assist-to-turnover ratio) and setting up his team.</p>

<p><strong>4.) 2025 Andrew DeWall (Indianola) -- 92</strong></p>

<p>The vocal leader for the Indians, who were among the youngest teams in the state last year, regardless of class, DeWall is a talented point guard who can create quality looks for his teammates off the dribble. He posted a 1.88 assist-to-turnover ratio as a junior.</p>

<p><strong>5.) 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='2413576' first='LaMarious' last='Clark'] (Prairie) -- 84</strong></p>

<p>Clark was one of the pleasant surprises for the Hawks last season as a sophomore, coming off the bench for a good chunk of the year to provide instant offense as both a scorer and facilitator, averaging 6.4 points and 3.7 assists a game. He's a quick, athletic guard who can blow by defenders and either score at the rim, or get the defense to collapse and then flash the court vision to find open teammates. </p>

<p>The 6-8 wing does a great job utilizing his size advantage to see over defenders and find open teammates for easy buckets. He has great awareness and understanding of the offense, knowing where his teammates are going to be and passing to the spot rather than to the player, leading them into quality looks.</p>

<p>Aguirre is one of the most skilled all-around offensive weapons in the 2026 class, a gifted shooter and three-level scorer who can also create plays for his teammates off the dribble or by making the extra pass. He has a high IQ, sees the floor well, and figures to have the ball in his hands more following the graduations of Carson Johnson and Lio Aguirre. </p>

<p>Klement wasn't a big scorer for the Lynx as a sophomore, averaging 5.0 points a game, but he's the pace setter for the offensive attack, putting his teammates into quality scoring positions with his ability to create good looks off the dribble.</p>

<p>Matson is a skilled playmaker in the backcourt for the Lions, a shifty guard who handles it and sees the floor extremely well. He does a nice job protecting the ball, posting a 1.77 assist-to-turnover ratio last season, and his speed can be a game-changing asset on both ends of the floor. He averaged 9.3 points and 3.3 assists as a junior.</p>

<p>Poe is listed at just 5-9, but the dynamo is one of the fastest players in the state with the ball in his hands, and his ability to play downhill and attack off the dribble, creating looks for his teammates, makes him a really valuable offensive weapon. In addition to his playmaking for his teammates, he also put up 11.5 points a game, showing good body control and the ability to absorb contact around the rim and finish.</p>

<p>Jirak might be the best passing big man in the state, a 6-9 forward with great court vision and deft passing touch. He grew up as a guard and has maintained many of those skills through his growth spurt, which makes him an extremely valuable two-way player who can score inside and out or create plays as a passer. </p>
