2028 Watch List: Point Guards (Part 3)

A solid defender who moves his feet and positions himself well on that end of the floor, Singh is also a talented shooter who can help space the floor with his quick release off both the dribble and the catch. He'll need to add some strength to his frame, but there is some talent here as both a playmaker and scorer.     Davison has a great first step that he uses to play downhill and attack the rim consistently. He's a quick guard with great end-to-end speed with the ball in his hands. He'll need to continue to work on his jumper, but his ability to create plays off the dribble for himself and his teammates should earn him some early time at GHV.     Garner has an extremely quick release off the catch, shooting it at a high level in those settings. He does a nice job using the threat of his jumper to attack the rim against hard closeouts, and he can finish through contact at the bucket, absorbing the physicality and finishing well.     Carter is another young guard who thrives in ball screen actions, knowing how to read the coverage well and adapting on the fly. He has great body control around the rim and can finish through or around contact at the bucket. He sees the floor extremely well and loves to get his teammates involved. He's one of the better ball-handlers in the class at this point, keeping his handle tight and doing a great job protecting the ball.     Despite usually being one of the smaller players on the floor, Fields does a great job competing on the glass on both ends of the floor. He's extremely active and has a penchant for tracking down loose rebounds. He does a nice job playing with pace, and he can change direction with the ball without losing speed.     Galloway is an aggressive offensive player who loves to play downhill and attack the rim, where he can finish effectively with either hand. He puts constant pressure on opposing defenses with his dribble-drive ability, and he does a nice job keeping his eyes up and finding open teammates after he gets the defense to collapse.     Wedeking is a really skilled shooter who moves exceptionally well without the ball in his hands, finding open spaces in the defense to get his shot off and he has a pretty looking jumper. He needs to add strength to his frame, which will allow him to finish more consistently around the rim, but his ability to shoot, his IQ, and his feel for the game will earn him early minutes for A-P.     Wilmington is one of the best players in the class at this stage. He has a fantastic feel for the game and is electric off the ball as both a scorer and playmaker. At this point in time, he's probably more of a two-level (rim, mid-range) scorer than true three-level, but he can knock down shots from deep on occasion. He's at his best when he's playing downhill, either getting to the rim or getting the defense to collapse and then using his elite vision to find open shooters or cutters. Defensively he's a pest with great lateral movement and quick hands.     McAnelly can play with or without the ball in his hands, but with his size he'll probably project more as a point guard moving forward. He shoots it really, really well off the dribble, understanding how to create space to get his shot off, and he's fantastic in the mid-range. He can create quality looks off the dribble for his teammates as well.
