2027 Stock Risers

The Class of 2027 is loaded with talent throughout the entire state, and has seen a lot of prospects take huge strides over the summer. Players from across the state have been putting in the work throughout travel season, showcases, and camps to better themselves and improve their stock as a prospect. Let's take a closer a look at some of these sophomore's who've had productive summers and are starting to see that hard work pay off.    Polynice is a quick, shifty PG who does a great job facilitating with the ball in his hands. He has a tremendous first step and likes to attack the basket, where he can finish at the rim with contact or dish it out to an open teammate. He is also a capable scorer form the outside, where he shoots the 3-ball at a high rate. He is very active on defense using his quick feet to stay in front of his opponent and his quick hands to force turnovers. Polynice is one to continue to monitor as he continues to develop his overall skillset.     This strong bodied prospect really impressed me at the Sophomore ID camp last month. Oliveras has great size at 6'3" and also has great strength for his age, which allow him to guard multiple positions on defense. He is an above-average rebounder on both ends of the floor, and is a solid all-around 2-way player. He is very vocal on the court and a great communicator. He has a smooth stroke from the outside, but also has the ability to bang down low and score in the paint. Oliveras has a lot of upside, so keep an eye on this kid as he continues to progress and mature as a player.     Alderman is an extremely fun player to watch. He has tremendous handles and plays the game fast, yet under control. The 5'7" shifty PG knows the game very well and does a great job creating for his teammates. He has excellent court vision, but is also capable of scoring in bunches. He has a solid mid-range game, and has a knack for creating his own shot. Even though he is a smaller guard he does a great job attacking the basket and finishing with both hands. Defensively, he is very active and will guard you for the entire 94 ft. Alderman is promising prospect to follow not only this year but for the remainder of his high school career.     Martinez is an absolute gym rat who just loves the game. Whether he's in the gym working on his craft, or in the weight room getting faster and stronger, this kid is always trying to get better. He is a menace on defense who will not back down from any assignment, and will be in your face the entire time he is on the floor. He has tremendous handles and great court vision, which make him a true floor general. He likes to attack the basket and dish out to open teammates, but can also hurt you with his smooth stroke, where he knocks down both mid-range and 3-point shots consistently. This kid's work ethic alone is a reason to continue to monitor this prospect throughout his high school career.     The lefty sharp-shooter continues to develop his game and see his stock rise each time he steps on the court. He can score on all 3-levels, but can be deadly from behind the arc, where he shoots the 3-ball at a very high rate. He has the ability to create his own shot, and can beat you off the dribble, or stop on a dime and knock down the mid-range jumper. Lagrone has great handles and is comfortable with the ball in his hands, where he is an above-average passer. He rebounds the ball very well from the guard position and can guard multiple positions on defense. Keep an eye on this prospect as he looks to take on a larger roll with his new school in this upcoming season.
